We stumbled into this place by happenstance since our original destination was closed. The owner was unbelievably sweet and had dozens of options to choose from. We were able to get her focaccia straight out of the oven and it was some of the best bread I’ve ever had in my life. The caramelized onions and roasted garlic were perfect. We will definitely be making our way back to the Black Walnut soon.
Drove two hours one way to this popular bakery. Absolutely worth it. Flavorful focaccia with terrific structure. Fruit tart with the ideal balance of sweet and tart, and again, perfect bake. I am in no way a morning person, but will be getting up earlier on future Saturday mornings so we can get there in time before breads run out. This is now a top destination for our weekends when we’re living that Jeep life. Not just like, “Oh, let’s stop on our way to a hike.” Black...
Delicious treats and super service! Lemon poppyseed scone is to die for and the blueberry crisp muffin has delectable flavors.
My fiance and I came in looking for an apple pie and there were none available. Jackie immediately said she could make one for pick up later (after hours nonetheless)! She’s a lovely woman! We will definitely be frequent flyers here.
