i had the shrimp and chinese vegetable lunch special and it was delicious! The portion was generous, the shrimps were large, and the veggies were crisp. The pork fried rice was very good as well. It also included a soup and spring roll. i will definitely be back!

We love Ginger Root! This is our main Chinese restaurant. We mostly order online and get to go. Food is always good! We switch around the items but always get Mooshu and some broccoli dish. Owners are friendly and accommodating.

Honestly the worst Chinese food I've had in Hartford County and most places around here are sub-par. The dumplings were absolutely black from being burnt, the spare ribs were so tough we couldn't chew them, and the Gem Tsos was so so so bad - stringy and tough on inside but soggy mush on outside. Sushi had a weird taste. Rice was bland, more boiled than fried, and had almost no pork. Spent SO much money and it's all going in the trash, I'm so bummed out man.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER ENCOUNTERED!!! Some of their Sushi rolls are shown as buy 1 get 1 free. I received only one of each I ordered as such. When I called to rectify the situation with the restaurant the man started yelling at me telling me I never ordered from their restaurant at all!! $90 spent!! We were celebrating our daughters 2nd birthday so I was not in a position to be able to leave my house and pursue the matter further. I was so taken back by the employees behavior!! I WIIL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN AND FULLY RECOMMEND NO ONE EVER ORDERS FROM HERE!!
