The Shack Reviews
Delicious food, friendly staff, served quickly and very attentive staff making sure everything is okay. This is our #1 go-to place for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
First time eating here. Food was fabulous and service was quick and friendly. Very refreshing from what you normally get these days. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Stopped in today for the first time. I’ve been the the Groton location and it was great!! Today the service was really really slow. My friends home fries were burnt black ( she didn’t eat them) cold toast loaded with unmelted butter, cold Belgian waffle also. Not once did the waitress come by and offer a coffee refill, we had to wait over 10 min & request the check. When we finally got it we waited yet again so I walked up to pay. Based on the service and not so friendly attitude...read full review

The Shack is a hidden gem with a warm and cozy atmosphere, nestled in a quiet plaza. The staff are friendly, efficient, and eager to please, providing top-notch service. The menu may seem pricey, but the generous portions and fresh, flavorful ingredients make it well worth the cost. From the exceptional turkey club to "The Mess" breakfast dish, the food is consistently delicious. The restaurant offers breakfast all day and features a great variety of options, including homemade soups available year-round, usually 3-4 different kinds daily. Although it does not serve alcohol, this adds to its charm. The Shack has a friendly, social vibe, especially when sitting at the counter, where everyone seems to know each other. It is a decent all-around place to eat—sometimes seen as a greasy spoon with good service. While the food isn't always spectacular, it is meant to be good and satisfying. With its New England charm and wheelchair accessibility, The Shack is a must-visit spot that will leave visitors wanting to return for more.
