Not many true diners left but The Shack is one of the best! Breakfast all day, great menu with lots of variety, and the staff and service are amazing! Homemade soup all year long (usually 3-4 every day) is always great, and the daily specials are worth checking out. No alcohol is served but I think that’s part of the charm. You won’t regret it if you give it a try!

Today i went to The shack with my mom and sister and although it was quite busy the food was delish? we sat at the counter and I must say it was very social everyone knew everybody

Decent all around place to eat, it's a greasy spoon with pretty good service. Not spectacular food but in my opinion it's meant to be really good and top off there and that's perfectly fine. Recommend, just get there early enough or you'll be waiting out the door.
Honestly the food is spectacular. However the service and the people working at this location are not on point. You should be a team and helping each other but instead we sat there and watched 8 workers walk back and forth and not even check the food on the counter and simply turn around and hand it to us. Theres clearly drama and turmoil going on between employees and tbh its petty and reflects in front of your customers. The spanish gentlemen was very kind and had the logic to hand us our food, however watching how it unfolded in front of us was really absurd. Drive to the Shack Groton and get excellent service there. Same food, better workers.
The food was nothing special but not bad. The waitress was way over her head and was quite rude. I heard her tell one of the customers that she did not have time to get their check and simply walked off. She did say the same thing to our party. I understand that things can get a little hectic but her attitude and response was appalling. For that reason alone I will not be coming back

Misty was our server and she was lovely and really is a great cheerleader for this place. We went here because my wife was reading some reviews and someone said if you're looking for a bowl of oatmeal and fruit do not come here (although they probably make it yummy) but if you're looking for big yummy breakfast food this is your place. My wife them showed me a picture of the sink and it was sold. Delicious food and such cool vibes. I had the sink and my wife had the waffle mountain (not exact name) Everything is super fresh and they use real fruit for their dishes. We'll be back again next year for the triathlon.

this place is genuinely incredible. everytime i come here the food is mouth-wateringly, toe-curlingly good. i don’t normally eat a lot in one sitting but here i finish the whole damn plate. i’d also like to give a shoutout to my waitress josalynn for really topping off the experience with her kind service. give my girl a raise please. ?
