Had our wedding at the Nutmeg on 10/11/25, nothing short of amazing! Especially Brandly, he was fantastic to me and my bridal party the second we got to the venue, huge shout out to him! They worked quickly and professionally to help guests and other vendors through the day/night and for months leading up to our event! Thank you Nutmeg team! šŸ’•

Avoid the Sunday Brunch. I have been a fan of Nutmeg for years, and I would do family functions again, but the brunch was entirely disappointing. The hot food was barely warm and it was dried out. We arrived shortly after brunch started, so it should have been fresh. There was plenty of food, but we found ourselves having a hard time finding something appealing. For the price, the food should be fresh and at least warm if they can't maintain hot. Unfortunately, the cold foods were not cold, either. As a former waitress, I always tip 20% or more, so the 20% automatic tip didn't bother me, but it seems high for a buffet where you serve yourself. 15% seems more reasonable, allowing patrons to add extra as they wish.

I have been going to Nutmeg since it was a tiny place with slanted floors by another name. We've had family functions there. I've always been pleased, until today at Sunday brunch. Brunch runs from 11-2. We arrived at 11:30. How was most of the food already looking like it had been sitting around all day? The hot foods were lukewarm, the cold foods were lukewarm, the mousse cake was warm and runny. The cinnamon crumble topped breakfast pastry was too dry to eat. The eggs Benedict were dried out. The omelet station was around the corner and no one was working it, so we didn't realize it was there when getting breakfast foods. Our one chance to get hot food was missed.
Very disappointing and a waste of $45 per person (including automatic 20% gratuity). I won't do the Sunday brunch again.

We had a function at Nutmeg after our moms funeral on June 27th.
Nutmeg was one of her favorite restaurants. Brian her favorite waiter!
About 30 people attended. Brian and one waitress( sadly I dont have her name) kept up with the bar, removing plates and keeping the buffet full. The food was excellent! Many attendees commented to the family on how the food, room and service was so well done.
Thank you Nutmeg for a great send off to our mom!

We went for Father's Day brunch and it was the best buffet I've been to in many years. The selection of food, the quality and quantity were excellent! The venue is very well appointed and beautifully kept. Nicely done!

My sister is deathly allergic to gluten. This was made clear many times before our event. We had asked multiple times before & after her food came out if her meal was gluten-free. They continuously insisted that it was indeed gluten-free.
Within an hour, she was violently ill. Throwing up for hours & hospitalized.
They got away without having to pay a dime.
I will never be going their again. If you have any allergies, I would think twice about going to this restaurant.

Had a reservation for 10 people for their Easter Brunch at 1 PM seating. Our whole party was there by 12:45. Did not get seated until 2:10! Absolute chaos. Once seated it was another fifteen minutes before we were offered water, our complimentary drinks and missing utensils. Once drinks were brought we were told to help our selves to the buffet. This is where we quickly realized we made a mistake coming here. Food was horrible at best. Everything was cold. I’m not even talking warm. Wait I misspeak, two hot items. The green beans and Mac and cheese ( only items that looked like they had been refilled since the 9 AM seating). The roughly 10 pieces of bacon were sitting in the bottom of the try in grease. The six Egg Benedict were so old that the yokes had literally dried up! Sausage and Peppers, Chicken, ā€œNumerous Seafood Itemsā€ which was a tray of cold dried up pieces of fish, with a couple tiny shrimp, was ice cold. Looked like this might have contained other items, but was never refilled, so who knows. Carving station had roast beef, ham and invisible lamb. These also were cold, not even warm. Table with mixed salads did have plenty of some items. The issue here was nothing was on ice. So these appeared to have been out since beginning of the day and at room temp. The final straw was the deserts. The menu listed all kinds of things. Pies, Muffins,Pastries, etc. and their famous cheesecake! Well we had three choices left. Chocolate cake, lemon cake and Death by Chocolate desert. Not one piece of any pie or a crumb of cheese cake.
After the cost of the Buffett, mandatory added gratuity and tax, it came out to a little less then $170 a couple. $850 dollars for the table of ten!! A complete rip-off. It was obvious they over booked, where not prepared for the number of people and no one in a position of authority was around to talk to.
Before writing this review I looked on their website for a contact number or email of someone I could communicate with about our experience. Well that doesn’t exist either. Phone number to make reservation and email form to take your info if you want to be contacted about holding an event there.
Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else!
