I was getting together with friends for a night out and I suggested we go to Sarape's. I had been here a few times and the food and service was amazing! However, we were all so disappointed last night! The margarita's were weak! The limeade or whatever they call their drink was WAY WAY to sweet. The server didn't come back and offering refills of any of our drinks, water or otherwise. We wait almost 20 minutes because they ran out of chips and had to make more. We place our orders and 30 minutes later 4 of our party got their meal but no one else. As the server was waiting on another table we asked about the rest of the orders and she said their system went down and they are working on it now. We were NEVER told. Our friends felt super awkward eating while we were still waiting. It took another 20/30 minutes for the rest of us to get our meals. There was 1 in our group who had to wait another 10 minutes for her meal! And we still didn't have refills on our drinks! The food was the worst it has ever been! There was no flavor to it! It was so bland. The red sauce was spicy, but one note. Their rice was not the Mexican rice you would expect, it was white, no flavor, and had peas and carrots in it, like you would find in Chinese rice. I ordered a burrito Carne Asada. It was room temperature when it arrives. It was so bland you could tell what it was. The burrito wrapping was doughy, uncooked. The Carne Asada was dry, over cooked, and flavorless. I had ordered a side of fries as well. After putting half the salt shaker on them, they were the best part of our meals! We were all so disappointed with our meals. I did take my burrito home but as soon as I got out of my car, it went in my tipper barrel. We made reservations weeks ago. They had so much time to prepare and it was a huge let down. I always support local business but after last night, I won't return here.

It was our second time at Sarape’s and we were just after breakfast cut off but they still let us order breakfast. Our server, Zo, recognized us from last time and even remembered what my toddler likes to eat and that he has allergies. I had the Chorizo con papas with refried beans and it was delicious, my husband had the choose your own breakfast. We’ll definitely be back, thank you so much!
