We had a wonderful experience at The Essex. We went for the chef tasing and truly enjoyed the selection of foods brought to the table. The staff were great! Very attentive, very friendly, very professional. We would surely return for another tasting!
We loved the Essex! Wonderful, creative dishes. The scallop appetizer with cauliflower was amazing. The oysters were so fresh, as were the shrimp. And the cheesecake, pavlova and the apple tart were to die for. Our waiter was fun and approachable, too.
stumbled upon this place after spending the day at saybrook marina spa and it was the PERFECT night cap — amazing amazing food and ambiance. will try to find a reason to come back!
