I am editing my previous review because there has been a noticeable, friendlier atmosphere in Fancy Bagels. My old review stated how the staff were heard talking smack on customers openly, but I’ve heard nothing but kind words from the staff there the past few times I’ve been there. And the bagels are the best in the area. The Southington location is great too.

Fancy Bagels has been consistently serving great bagels, sandwiches, and coffees for over a decade that I’ve been coming here! The staff is ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING! the bagels are freshly made daily and all sandwiches are made to order! They even make their own cream cheese! You can’t go wrong with visiting for a great bagel and a hot coffee! Be patient and you won’t be disappointed! Love fancy bagels!

my puzzling world
We stopped in to try them as we are new to the area. However when we walked in it was like we entered a daycare. They had a handful of staff chasing each other around. Not one stopped to see what we would like. This was at 1pm on a Sunday, with a couple of customers at tables eating. One young girl ran out of the back yelling that another was going to beat her up, as she ran behind another coworker lifting her up to put her in-between herself and the other that she was rough housing with. At that point we had been looking at the menu and tried to let the staff know we wanted to order although I am not sure if they could care about anything other than laughing and yelling with their coworkers. So after about 5 min without a greeting, or a how can I help you, I looked at my partner and stated I can not deal with the yelling, he agreed and we left. It is a shame that the staff seems to be the downfall of this establishment.

Went back after 3 years about 11:45 am and they are already out of most bagels. If that's all you sell and none left then this business is sad. I only went because I was across the street. Good Morning bagels on Farmington ave taste better and a bit cheaper.
Not one worker wearing masks. The positivity rate is 24% come on now. Prices are high and very skimpy breakfast sandwich. They were fast though. Will not go back due to no masks

I came here once before & practically had to beg someone to take my order. Trying again, this time called it in. 45 minutes before closing, the grill & toaster are both turned off, so those type of foods are not available. Who does business like this? They close at 2. Clearly they do not care about good service & making available what they sell.

The food is not the question here. iTS THE AWFUL, RUDE, PASSIVE BAD ATTITUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We frequent this place and in the last few months the customer service has gotten horrendous. Asked for a French dip but the lazy girl taking the order simply says we don’t have the meat cut. So pick something else. THE OWNER should reevaluate the front end staff. Not a greeting or thank you for coming nothing but pure attitude. Time to find a new bagel shop.

I keep giving it a chance to see if a different employee would change my mind or if being a regular would change anything but it hasn’t happened. Even a simple good morning, have a good day etc like simple etiquette / manners would have made a huge difference on my impression.

Best breakfast spot in the Farmington/bristol/Plainville area. The food is always delicious. I love their selection of flavored cream cheese, specifically the jalapeño and the walnut raisin. I haven't been able to find a better bagel in the area, they are so good. My favorite is a grilled cheddar bagel with sausage, cheese and egg. Also try the banana hazelnut iced coffee, sounds like a strange flavor but I'm obsessed. The people who work here are fast and efficient especially with how busy this place is. Frequently there is a line out the door but they do their best to move things along quickly. They are always happy and cheerful and create a nice environment. They know all of their regular customers names and stories and create a cheers like environment but with coffee and bacon. Love this place.

Staff is more interested in blaring the music and singing than waiting on guests. Bagels are ok at best and priced much higher than most places. The main cook top is disgusting, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Total fire hazzard.

If I could give less than one star I would! Service is awful. Wait time is unexceptionable. Staff should concentrate on working instead of it being a social hour. Never coming back.
