This was my first time in this restaurant. I absolutely loved Alex and Hailey the waitresses. The food was good, and the owner was sweet. I do hope they put pictures on the wall and make it more cozy. I will be back beca use I enjoyed the wait staff. Cin

Unfortunately, Piccolo Arancio has become very inconsistent from one week to the next. Yes, we have been going to Piccolo Arancio weekly for years. Last week as an appetizer I had broccoli rabe that was absolutely delicious. I ordered the same this week and it was tasteless and overcooked. It is very disappointing. So, it seems to be hit or miss at Piccolo Arancio at this point as far as the food goes.

The Ravioli 'Arancia are Outstanding! If you haven't yet, try them... you could split them for an appetizer for 2 or 4 people to get a taste. Or you could have them as an entree... I RECOMMEND the splitting as an appetizer as I am quite sure all will love them!!! The STEAK was delicious, perfectly prepared and yummy!! The Broccoli Rabe was great as an appetizer - if you like that vegetable, consider having ti as a very healthy first course!! Veggies are good for you... and with some oil and garlic even better for you!!!!

What happened to Piccolo Arancia? I have dined here for the past 25 years and it with the quintessential neighborhood Italian restaurant with excellent food and impeccable service. I have not dined here in the past three years, but everything has changed. The menu is limited, the food was fair at best, the service was sloppy, there is no ambience as walls no longer have pictures and the curtains are shabby, lighting is off. We took friends here from out of town and the entire restaurant experience was poor. I am sorry to see what has happened to this restaurant.

So I went here last night for Valentine’s Day and the first red flag was the 30 minute wait that we had (even though we had a reservation) ok no problem so we get seated. They took almost 45 minutes to get us bread which to me was pretty weird. The appetizer didn’t take that long and the calamari was pretty decent. The reason why I have the rating I did was due to the service. I feel like the manager of the place catered to everyone else who was waiting for their food, but us. The wait staff was cool and apologetic I have no issues with them but it was very clear we was being ignored and we really tried to be understanding due to the holiday, but to not even be acknowledged after waiting 2 hours for our meal to come was unacceptable to me. My money is green like everyone else’s but the food was ok not great I had the lamb with the spinach and mashed potatoes it was average and my spouse had the swordfish. For the price point the portions were very small. For our first dining experience here we will not be back!

piccolo was very good this evening! Had a new dish scallops with polenta and mushrooms. That was quite yummy. A friend had the swordfish which she loved. My husband had the eggplant appetizer, which he thought was great. we had linguine with meatballs, which he devoured happily. Russell gave excellent service as always.

We went there for Valentine's day and it was the worse experience in my entire dining history .. We sat at the restaurant for 3 hours and never even got our meal!!! When we first were seated no one came to take our order so we escalated to Manager. The Manager took our order and then we sat for 2 hours while others that came after us received their order and cashed out !! We finally asked several wait staff where are food was (none of which had the guts to answer) so they just ignored us until the one waitress, who must have drawn the short straw came to us and told us our order never got the kitchen !! Really I exclaimed but what about the gentleman who took our order he's right there walking to the back ask him what happened !! The wait staff said they had no idea who the gentleman in the suit was (who appeared to be the manager). I guess he was the order taken imposter !! They then apologized and said our salad s and glass of wines were on them !! It was 9:45 we could not even get food any where!! We then proceeded to leave the restaurant and saw the order taken suited imposter and told him that he never entered the order. He showed us the proof he entered the order and apologized. He then gave us a gift card.. What happened to the order ? We suspect there was no waitress assigned to the table so when the order was made no waitress took it to us !! They covered the failures by throwing the suited order taken imposter under the bus, claiming they did not know him !! Needless to say we paid a babysitter and had no food and the worst experience ever !!

The worst service ever . We were never assigned a waitress and waited 3 hours and never received our food. We then asked a waitress ( who laughed) and said there is no waitress assigned and no meals!! It was 9:30 pm so we left !! The wait staff is horrible, not once did anyone even check on us when they saw us sitting with no food!!

Good menu, Great food, wait staff was great. Decor could use some updating. Cloth tablecloths but no Lights / candles on tables so low ambience about like dining at a mid priced hotel chain restaurant. Food and service make it worthwhile for an occasional meal but would go more often if better atmosphere.

What happened? This used to be one of our favorite places to dine and celebrate a birthday! The lamb chops were always flavorful and were definitely worth the price. We were celebrating a friend's birthday on a Thursday night and looked forward to a wonderful meal. Not only were the portions small, they were mediocre. My salmon was served on a very hot plate, but the fish was room temperature. The chicken parm tasted OK, but the vegetables were very mushy. The lamb chops were dry and tasteless. Another in our party ordered a pasta dish reminiscent of a school cafeteria meal. The cannoli were also a disappointment. The quality and portions of the food did not warrant the high prices. That's why this once lively and busy restaurant was nearly empty! $300+ for a sub-standard dining experience - go someplace else!

Ambience is nice and the service was very good. The shrimp cocktail was made well in advance of serving, dry, small and over cooked. The Caesar salad was not made to order and though tasted ok seemed to lack any effort. The home made ravioli was very good but sauce was a bit sweet. The tenderloin...Humm...skip it, over cooked very dry and sauce was nearly non existent. We were looking forward to the piccolo experience but it did not live up to the reviews we've read. Won't be going back.

The Chicken Parm was very tender this evening, absolutely delicious. The simply grilled Salmon was prepared perfectly. The wines were excellent as well. The service was very attentive and appreciated... just the right amount of privacy for one to enjoy their meal.

Since the original chef sold to the NEW owners (late '23) the servers remain GREAT, food not so. PLEASE REPLACE THE CHEF! Rremember "field of dreams"...if you build it they will come...if you replace the chef with a trained Italian chef they will (once again). I fear the place is going down....only a matter of time if things don't change. Such a shame....
