Just an update 6 years later. Still one of the best breakfasts in CT! Kids loved the huge pancakes and the corned beef hash is one of the best guilty pleasures ever!! I tried the Renee special this time with both the cheese sauce AND the hollandaise and oh man was it indulgence! You need to experience this unassuming gem! Exactly what I'd want in a diner on the side of the road. Friendly staff, quick turnaround time, and LOTS of breakfast food! It rivals Nicolet Restaurant in De Pere, WI for good breakfast diners. They have some weird, tongue-in-cheek anti-customer signs to keep you humble. Even if you're REALLY hungry, you'll still probably want a half plate of Dave's Hungry Man. I'd definitely come back.
This place has really great food. I especially love the home fries they are some of the best home fries I think I have ever had. I really wish I took a picture of my plate before I ate it all but I didn't think that for ahead. But for real the food here is amazing.
