An excellent Italian restaurant in a strip mall in rural Connecticut? Who'd a think it. But it is. Great food, quiet room, TERRIFIC service. Great value. It was a little worrisome that there were so few patrons, but it was a miserable Sunday night. I imagine it's busier at other times. Many thanks!
What a nice surprise. Excellent food and wonderful service. The server really knew the menu and was very helpful. The decor was a little run down, but go for the food and service.
We enjoyed our first few visits which included the antipasto board, we decided to try again this evening. The antipasto board meats were thick and chewy, Italian meats are always sliced extremely thin, sweet and spicy red pepper was hard dried mess, not much fig jam very disappointing. We also had the Caesar salad which had no dressing maybe mayo? And stale croutons. My boyfriend had zuppa Di Pesce the sauce tasted like vinegar, he realized it was caper juice also had only 3 shrimp 2 calamari 1clam? Very disappointing where was the fish? I also had warm water served to me twice. This is a Friday night? Also the girls kept trying to take our plates away. Must have been eager to go home. Extremely high prices for very low quality food . I am not impressed.
The hot honey broccoli was amazing..we sat in the bar and everything including the dessert was top notch
This was my first visit, and I was very pleased with the food, presentation, quality, and value. My veal parm leftovers were even better the next day. I will be back!
The meatballs in polenta were amazing! Best I've ever had. The mussels had a VERY sweet sambuca sauce that was overpowering. A brown sugar syrup glaze doesn't belong with seafood and the mussels were over cooked. Nothing about this dish was right. I got the steak tips with tortellini in a Demi glaze. The cheap cut of meat (probably london broil) was cut into very small pieces and were very well done. It was tough and nit at all worth $28. My finance got the homemade gnocchi with sausage. The sausage was very good but he got 6 big chunks of gnocchi that weren't that were just ok. Also not worth $24. The place was very nice and had a lot of potential. It was almost empty for a Friday night. Hopefully they get a new cook because it has a lot of potential. It was way better when we went there last year.
The garlic bread and the carbonara were outstanding. Some of the best we've ever had. So glad we stopped by during our vacation out here!
Excellent food and service....always trying different menu items and specials and all have been excellent.
Food and service were really good. Great menu to choose from and you won't be disappointed.
We went here for Mother's Day with my husband, daughter and her family. We had a 6 o'clock reservation and got our food at 7:55! The waitress was great she kept coming over and checking in. Luckily it only took an hour to get the appetizers we ordered and my grandchildren ate those. Granted it was great spending time with my family but that wait was ridiculous . Perhaps they could have stopped either walk ins or takeout or both when they realized they could not get food out in a timely manner.

Mother's Day brunch, great selection, food was delicious, service was delightful. Thank you.
While the food remains outstanding the service left a lot to be desired. They did not bring plates for the shared appetizers until asked. 2 of the 4 dinners were served together and then a wait for the third meal and an even longer for the last person to be served. A request for cheese was ignored. A complaint to the manager resulted in an apology and 1 desert comped.
This was Easter brunch and all breakfast items were prepared excellent as well as all the lunch items. Food was excellent. Service was friendly and excellent.
We are fairly regular customers. Some of the menu changes under new management will take a little bit to adjust to. My favorite thing on the menu has been removed. It's still a great place to eat, but I miss some of the flavors that I had become accustomed to.
Drinks and food are made EVEN BETTER by the service. The crew at LaFigata are always friendly and on point.
