Rancho Viejo Reviews
We ordered takeout last night. The fajitas were a big bowl of sautéed onion with 1-2 mushrooms and pieces of pepper and no tortillas. The spinach enchilada’s tortillas did not taste good. Overall, very unsatisfying food.
Rancho Viejo saved my life. Catering order with Chipotle snafu and I was left with no food for my daughter’s graduation. They were the first restaurant I thought to call with a last minute dinner order. They saved the day and the food was delicious (and very plentiful!). Thank you, Rancho Viejo!
Having lived in Arizona for 20+ years, I can tell you that this is outstanding Mexican food! Wonderful menu, great service and a festive atmosphere. My husband loves the albondigas and I love just about everything! I can never decide what to order!

Rancho Viejo is a beloved Mexican restaurant known for its authentic and flavorful cuisine. The salsa is fresh, the jalapeño cheese dip is exceptional, and the chicken soup is delightfully refreshing. The colourful atmosphere is unique, especially during the holidays, enhancing the dining experience. The portions are huge, and the prices reflect the full-service experience.
The restaurant offers a variety of options for those with dietary restrictions, including corn-based tortillas, chips, and rice and bean entrees. The friendly staff and the spicy margaritas contribute to the overall enjoyment of this family-favorite establishment. Customers praise the restaurant's chorizo queso and amazing food, with one reviewer stating it is "well worth the price." The restaurant is also noted for its great vegetarian options and kid-friendly atmosphere.
While many enjoy the tasty meals, some customers have expressed concerns about the high prices, with one mentioning that a simple quesadilla and sides can cost up to $45. Additionally, there have been issues with portion sizes and menu pricing accuracy. However, the restaurant continues to be a favorite for its flavorful dishes, including the chicken tacos and carne asada, which are described as perfectly cooked and seasoned. Overall, Rancho Viejo remains a top choice for solid Mexican food.
