First I gotta say, the staff at this location is top notch!! Very very nice, and definitely known their products, they are extremely polite and friendly. The flavors of bagels available are fantastic and there is a nice selection of complimenting spreads. The flavors are rich but not over powering. Great little spot to grab breakfast. They do have sandwiches too, but I'm hooked on the bagels!! Side note, the coffee is great too!! Proud to support another local business!!!

I stop in occasionally. Today the service was really bad, all I ordered was a bagel with cream cheese and coffee they could not seem to enter the correct order despite a long wait. She kept overfilling and then emptying the coffee cups, which was cold and tasted awful. And it's supposed to be Ashlawn Farms so idk how it was so terrible. I bought my coworker a coffee but had to apologize to her for it tasting so yucky. The bagels were delicious .Anyway service is spotty, sometimes great, and like today, sometimes pretty bad.

I think the bagels at the Guilford are great, but dealing with the company is incredibly frustrating. I have tried to call to order bagels for the next day, and the phone goes to voicemail stating that they are not available. The website states that they were taking no new orders, but the website also states to call 24 hours in advance if you want six or a dozen bagels. I guess the only option is to drive to the store. Not exactly a customer centric business. This is not the first, second, or even the third time that this has happened. The rumor mill in town says that Cohen’s Bagels may be coming to Guilford. It’s something I’m looking forward to.

So happy I decided to pop into Deke’s Bagels in Guilford this morning! The young lady working behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. I had a bacon, egg and cheese- delish! My husband got the lox with chipotle cream cheese and he said “mmmm” after each bite, so I think it’s safe to say he enjoyed his as well. We’ll definitely be back soon!
I don't usually leave reviews, but this place is crazy. I stopped in this morning, and was charged $14 for a bacon egg and cheese with 2 eggs and a hashbrown. After driving 5 minutes to my destination I opened my sandwich and it didn't even have a hashbrown on it. Staff also looked like they did not want to be there. I will not be returning

I come to Deke's for the best bagels & pastries around (the Dirt Bomb!), and I leave feeling great even before one bite because the staff there treat people right! If there's a long line, they are patient and doing a great job filling orders and being professional. If there's no line, they are equally pleasant and helpful, and you get some fun conversation with your order. Feels good walking in and feels good walking out -- great food and wonderful people. (Can't wait til I'm walking in again soon!)

I really feel that Deke's Bagels in Guilford, Connecticut, has stepped up their game lately! They consistently provide good service. (I go there once or twice a week.) There seems to be more hustle in completing the orders; the staff addresses customers by name; and they genuinely seem like they really want to help out customers in a timely fashion (and of course getting the orders right). Bravo to Deke's in Guilford, CT! Oh yeah, they are now open on Tuesdays. 😊
