Can’t wait to enjoy ourselves together tonight for my husband’s birthday his 84th it should be amazing ❤️?
We discovered this place on the water by a marina when driving around the shoreline. On a lovely summer afternoon, we were hoping to dine on a restaurant deck overlooking the water. We arrived at Guilford Mooring. We asked to sit outside and were seated in a space that was a major letdown. It's not an attractive area. It is partially surrounded by a 6 ft. high white vinyl fence, a large shed-like bar that cannot be seen through at least when we were there, and a wall of empty lobster pots that totally blockany possible view of the marina. They should reconfigure that space. We asked to go inside where we thought the view might be better. We were offered to sit in the high bar stools section or in the low chairs section. We only saw the high bar stools when walking in from the deck area and chose that area. Even there the view was partially obscured by the wall of lobster pots. Later, after we had our meal, I discovered the other room with the low chairs near the restroom. That area affords a much better view of the marina. We ordered a stuffed quahog appetizer, the mahi mahi taco and a fried cod fish sandwich. The quahog was very disappointing. There were very chunks of seafood in it. Most notable was some small bay scallops. It was very greasy. My friend said it was too buttery. Not worth $12 for 1/2 shell. I enjoyed the mahi-mahi taco, though it seemed to have more fruit and vegetables than fish in it. The mango, pineapple and onion added delicious flavor to the taco. The cod sandwich was good and the fish was thick. I wish it had more boom boom sauceon it, since it was a bit dry. Overall, if I go again, I would sit by the window near the restroom.

They are modifying their hours, so call to make sure they are open, especially for lunch!
I have been here many times… it is not the place it used up be, new owners maybe? This restaurant was in the top teir on the shoreline but it is different now… not highly recommend
Pleasantly surprised by this location. We had no idea this was here and stumbled upon it while looking for seafood places in the area. All of the food was delicious, drinks were very good and the service was also attentive. We left happy, full and with a bill that tied it all together knowing we will be back here again for sure.

Arrived with a friend from out of town on the holiday. Hadn't eaten at this location in about 40 years when it was named differently.
The service was outstanding. The food was generously portioned and absolutely delicious. It was busy, but our food came in a timely manner, and the waitress couldn't have been more accommodating, and she helped my friend (gluten-free) with choices from the menu,
I highly recommend this restaurant, and I will be returning.

We recently had a party at the Guilford Mooring and we could not be happier! Everything was special, the food was spectacular, the service was friendly and professional, the atmosphere was so perfect it looked so beautiful! Everyone enjoyed themselves and raved about the food and drink! It could not have been a nicer evening! Thanks to everyone especially Jessica who pulled it all together for our group of 90+!

Just had the most wonderful dining experience from start to finish! The start: A wonderful, sweet and attentive waitress named Thina! We mentioned we came from the Farmers Market and that we had to be quick so our food didn’t thaw and she insisted on giving us a bag of ice so we could enjoy our meal. Which we did, immensely. The oysters were ice cold, so fresh and tasty. The mussels fra diavolo were probably the best I ever had! The bowl was overflowing and I could not stop dipping the bread in the sauce. I thought id be too full to eat my meal but it was too delicious not to. I had swordfish with tropical chutney. Lastly I cannot finish this review without mentioning how polite and prompt the boys that were bussing were. This just might be a new favorite spot!
We arrived on a beautiful Sunday, thinking it would be an enjoyable time. However, the atmosphere was stagnant. Absolutely no music what so ever, tv volume not even on. Just servers sitting around on their phones. You could hear people breathing from the other side of the bar. Bartender outside never came back. We ended up getting up and leaving. Extremely disappointed.
