** Very Disrespectful Customer Service ** I called today to inquire about ordering macarons or other French pastries for an event. I spoke with the owner, Wang, who said they don’t make those items. I politely explained that I was disappointed, as I had been searching all morning and had assumed a French bakery might offer them. He suggested puff pastries with whipped cream, which I declined. I then calmly asked if he knew of anywhere else locally that might carry macarons. Before I could finish my question, he abruptly hung up on me. Not offering certain products is completely understandable. Hanging up on a customer who is speaking respectfully is not. The interaction felt dismissive from the moment I asked my question, and the lack of basic courtesy was frustrating and unprofessional.

Amazing food and great vibes! I heard about Hen & Heifer from Heyla and I’m so glad I checked it out. Everything tasted fresh, the burgers were cooked perfectly, and the staff was super friendly. You can tell they really care about quality. Definitely coming back and recommending to others!

This review is strictly on service only, pastries were gorgeous but very upset as far as the women working the register, extremely rude. She even made a comment how someone’s perfume was making her cough and bothering her, in a room full of people. Please take your money to the Village Chocaliter, a fourth of the price with very warm happy to help staff.

Hen and Heifer has excellent pastries! My only complaint is that they aren't open very often, making it challenging to enjoy their treats. This is also a good spot to pick up a gift or treats to take to a get together. We love stopping in for a coffee and cream puff!
I plan weekends and my afternoon work schedule around this place. The sourdough (Friday and Saturday only) is excellent. So are the cream puffs, gateau Breton, and pretty much everything else I've tried.

The Bourbon Pecan Pie is an abomination- the sliver of “pecan pie” is covered with a flan like substance diminished further by a crunchy bland praline- NOT a pecan pie and most certainly NOT worth $140–100% disappointing- there is artistry but clearly lack of vision- NOT A PECAN PIE- FYI as always had to wait 15 min for a preorder with disengaged staff- not worth it at all

Visited Guilford, CT this past weekend with my family, and the main reason for our trip was this bakery! I first saw it on my feed and immediately knew I had to visit. The shop is adorable inside—perfect for picking up desserts and snapping some photos in their warm, cozy space. They also have outdoor seating to enjoy your treats. We tried a few different items and every single one was amazing!
