Thai food is great as always, very glad that Ayuthai did not go out of business. They are one of the best in the state!! The waitresses from the maritime grill are who serve you, however, and are not polite on a good day. Burned-out older drunk "dock-rock" ladies who made it clear they were not happy we were ordering thai food. She even checked the pockets on my friend's coat as it hung on the hook next to our booth. Did not realize that one can get either Thai or American food under one roof! We chose American and it was excellent! Great service and food, and would definetely =go back and maybe try the Thai food! The decor is a bit dated, but otherwise nice atmosphere.
I have eaten here three times. The food is outstanding and priced fairly. I had tuna avocado salad and fish and chips. One time was a buffet at a birthday party. The buffet was ridiculously good. It forced me to over eat. I had no choice in the matter. Took home some ribs. Had them for breakfast. There are many excellent restaurants in the Sarasota area. This is now a go to restaurant for me. I try to go to new places, but it is difficult once I have found really good places already....
