We had pizza and eggplant Parmesan panini. The bread was good on the Panini the only thing that was missing was the eggplant. I took about 25 minutes to get that

This place is amazing! Easily the best Paninis ive ever had! Their fresh homemade bread is insane! Pizza is also very very good. Their homemade cookies are a must as well. Family owned, the staff is so kind and always took care of me. Ate here everyday for months while building down the street. Best food spot in guilford in my opinion. Definitely a must try!!!!

They were recommended to me by the girls at my eye doctor a couple of years ago. We have been getting take out since then pretty often and are never disappointed. The best fried mozzarella that I’ve ever had! Chocolate chip cookies are a must too! We recently ordered a few small platters for an intimate gathering and were super impressed with the food and the prices! We love this spot! Check them out!

My husband has been raving about Pasta Avest for awhile now and we finally made it in together yesterday afternoon. AMAZING. The Sicilian pizza was to die for and the service was wonderful. I can't wait to try the pasta! I highly recommend!

Decided to try something new today and so glad we did and wish I had sooner. The food is amazing. Fresh, cooked to order and plentiful. The stuffed bread is better than ones I’ve had from famous places in New Haven. I’ll be back for sure.

We love everything about Pasta Avest…from the friendly service to the delicious pizza and dinners. Our favorite is the creamy pesto rigatoni with chicken!

We found this place on a trip back to NY, as we were
STARVING and needed food asap. We needed somewhere with parking for our trailer and that would be close to the road and quick. We stopped here, as the food looked better compared to the other places along the way. They had a few guys in the back making food and one girl at the front handling orders. We ordered 2 paninis & a sub. I heard the girl softly say it would take 20 min after just l ordered, which I thought was odd because it was a very simple order and they weren't busy. The restaurant was interesting, as it was a mix of a pizza, pasta, sandwich, and coffee bar of sorts. There were plenty of seats and outdoor seating as well. It took maybe 25-30 minutes to get our orders, putting a large dent in our trip home by adding an hour. I didn't have much to complain about for my order, a fresh mozz, basil, tomato, and grilled chicken panini on focaccia. It was huge and beautiful, but it lacked a lot of flavor that it had a lot of potential for. The focaccia was very crispy & the mozz and chicken were fine, but the pesto did not have much flavor, so it was really one note. When my friend opened his sub, he noticed hair on his lettuce, which is never something you want to see, especially after paying ~$15. I don't have a photo, so you can take my word or not. My boyfriend had a special sandwich with a cutlet and vodka sauce. He didn't rave about that either and thought the cutlet had little to no flavor.
Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing or caught them on a bad day, or maybe we are just used to having really amazing restaurants near us. I won't recommend it to anyone driving back through CT.
The staff was nice and the place was cozy, but the food just didn't make it worth it.

I was planning a 100th birthday celebration for 60 people and compared two shoreline pasta restaurants. The first offered me one main course within our party budget. I walked into Pasta Avest and inquired about catering and met Sarah. She was so kind and helped go through the menu to select fitting appetizers, entrees, and sides within our budget. The whole process was such a breeze, I paid upon pick up and they gave us all the instructions for heating as we were celebrating on a Sunday (the restaurant is closed on Sundays.) The food was incredible and more than enough for our guests. I cannot recommend Pasta Avest enough! We will keep coming back for future events, sporting banquets, large gatherings and family dinners alike!
