This is a little restaurant tucked inside of a marina. It's outside, and seating is beside the river with beautiful views. My salmon atop field greens was perfectly cooked. It was delicious. I highly recommend for a casual meal.

The setting was great . We sat under the trees and kept cool, looking out at the beautiful Connecticut River. The food was very good. Would definitely go back!

Very friendly staff, right off the CT river. You can either dock a boat and eat or park in their parking lot. Their food is delicious and the dessert is even better. A place I will now remember everytime I go out on my boat.

Food was good/counter staff friendly. Did not like that bill was a total approx $53.00 with no itemization. After we left and thought about it seemed very high price for 2 salmon over greens, one slice carrot cake and 2 beverages (seltzer and iced tea). Would check bill more carefully in future.

BYOE Bring your own everything. No fried food as well. DOGS NOT ALLOWED so had to order takeout :( Pictured is their chips and guac. Also their buffalo chicken sandwich. Nothing special about this place. Prices aren't that bad but at least adding a bag of chips or something would be the right price point for that sandwich. Also it forces you to buy something else with your meal because just a sandwich isn't enough. Chips and guac were okay nothing special.

Had been once before and I like the setup However I knew it was cash only and location is not near any Bank. I witnessed a customer trying to use their portable atm and it was out of service. Located on a tucked away marina right on the Ct river, great views on a nice day. Hubby had the cold shrimp salad, delicious on toasted roll. I had the huge crab cake sandwich. The grands had the foot-long hot dogs also on toasted roll. Great food, worth the price. I do have an issue with all the signage (BYOB) but come to find out that only means alcohol. I allowed my granddaughters to bring their water bottles from the car as they did not drink soda. That needs to be looked at.

This is a hidden gem on the river. I never would have found it if I wasn't looking for it. It is very casual BYOB. You will not be sorry if you stop here.I got a turkey wrap it was so good. My friend got lobster roll and she enjoyed it. If you want it prepared a specific way, for example butter on the side, make sure you specify no butter added to the lobster. Ww enjoyed sitting by the water chatting. Wait staff are friendly and helpful.

Cute and nice spot right on the river. Food is okay and it is BYOB. They don’t take debit or credit, atm on site

Excellent view and dining right on the river side in a casual setting. Think table cloth covered picnic tables. Food is good, menu changes frequently. Mostly outdoor seating. Bring bug spray if hanging out at dusk. It's BYOB.

We had not been for a while, and decided to give it a try for dinner. Not crowded, but yet they were slow. No dogs allowed--not sure why--but we respected the rule and sat outside the fence with our small well behaved dog. It was nice because there were other dog owners. So we put the number on the fence so they would know to deliver our order there. Nonetheless, they could not seem to figure that out, and I had to stop them before our order went back to the kitchen. Then, the server said "this is a to go order." I am not sure that it was, but she whipped our food away because we could not be served on plastic plates--even though we were eating right outside their fence. The food was not great. My watermelon salad--which is supposed to have fresh mint--had almost no mint, and not sure it was fresh. I went back to order cheesecake. I asked if it was fresh. Not sure it was and I suspect that the server did not tell the truth when he said it came in the day before. For $8.50, not worth it. Overall, I would skip it. The servers' attitude was bad, the food was not great, and you pay a lot IN CASH for this experience. They might be on the water, but that is the only positive about this place right now. They should improve.

Recommendation: BYOB, the vibe is very relaxing..Detailed Review:This is our first time celebrating Juneteenth. It was a beautiful summer day, my wife wants to find a restaurant with open space, and I picked The Blue Oar.When we got there, the space of the restaurant is very relaxing, my wife loves it very much. I heard people recommending the Lobster Roll but it was sold out (we arrived around 4:00 pm on Monday). We order grilled chicken sandwich, clam chowder, a hotdog, and a salad. The food is quite delicious at affordable prices. Next time, we will return, bring wine, and check out the Lobster Roll here..Note:1. They take cash only (there is an ATM machine).2. You have to order food at the counter (upstairs). The food will be brought to your table later.

You are paying for delicious food and a fantastic view of the river and seasonal boats. Just keep in mind the bathrooms ARE NOT located near the restaurant and you get nothing extra besides a pickle with your sandwiches.
