We stopped in at Brookside Bar and Grill on a whim on the way through the area heading home, and we are so happy we stopped. This off the beaten road bar/restaurant is sitting quite far back from the road and would be difficult to find if you weren't looking for it. Marissa at the bar is absolutely wonderful. She greets everybody as they walk in with a warm smile and you immediately feel like a friend. The entire menu sounded really good so it was a difficult decision but...
For the most part the food and drinks where delicious and priced very well. Service was great! The only negative is the French onion soup was ehh, ok, and the chicken Caesar salad had way too much cheese on it.
Awesome foods! Christine was knowledgable, competent and friendly. Had the fish and chips - excellent! Baked cod was perfect. Oh by the way try the mashed potatoes! French onion soup was scrumptious..all made from scratch!!!!
