I can only speak to the hamburgers and hot dogs. The hot dog was pretty good. The hamburger was okay but not great. I actually expected a better burger. If you're going to pay over $10 for one Burger I would expect to have the best fresh unfrozen meat. I didn't feel like that's what I got. I remember going to this restaurant when I was just a little kid many years ago. I've seen it go through a few different owners. Always thought their hamburgers were great.

I had a great first experience at Higgies! The strawberry milkshake was excellent — sweet, creamy, and just the right thickness. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and it was amazing — super flavorful with plenty of meat, and the toasted, buttery bun really took it over the top.
My Nana had the hot dog and fries — she loved the hot dog, though the fries were just okay. The wait was a little long, but totally understandable since they were very busy and had just opened.
Overall, definitely a 5-star visit. We’ll absolutely be back — I’m already looking forward to becoming a regular!

Stopped in for lunch, we live in town and we're excited for Higgies to reopen and it was fantastic! The Higgies Burger was DELICIOUS!! Highly recommended with their relish. The onion rings also spectacular!! Owner was really nice, too. Only minor recommendation I can make is maybe a little music outside in the dining area, that and have malt vinegar available. Otherwise excellent and we can't wait to come back! Next time I may order 2 Higgies burgers!! My wife at half of mine it was so good!! Reasonable prices too!

I’ve been going to Higgies for nearly 25 years. But I have no intention of patronizing a restaurant called “Higgs.” Clearly, anyone who would rename an icon Higgs is not from Haddam. If you were, you’d know better.

Definitely the best place to eat in town! I’d recommend the lobster roll! They really stack it with lobster and a healthy amount of butter! Also the lemonade is freshly made and is amazing!

First off we pulled in at a busy time ( lunch ) so we expected a bit of a wait.I ordered a chili cheese dog, 10 inches, fries, a coke. The dog was excellent, fries were under cooked. Coke was standard fountain mix . Overall fairly priced..Wife had fried clam strips. Came with fries, coleslaw and she ordered a coffee milk . Disappointed with her portion of the order given the price.We'll stop again but will stick with the standard roadside stand fare. Hot dogs and hamburger.
