After finding out Chang's Garden has permanently closed, and wanting my favorite pork with chinese vegetables, I decided to take a chance by placing an order here. So, so very disappointing. Imagine needing to add salt to Won Ton Soup. It has absolutely no flavor . . and my pork dish contained one lone carrot and 2 snow peas mixed in with the bamboo shoots and scanty pieces of pork. What I really got was an order of fried rice with less than a side of pork w/veggies. I will NEVER, EVER order from here again even if it is the last Chinese restaurant in CT! Oh and no scallion pancakes either.

Quiet and unassuming this place is not only the best Chinese in town but one of the best takeout spots in the area. Consistent, big portions, friendly staff, pick up and enjoy!

So I've been going to this place for years now and this is the first time I've felt uncomfortable going there. The sign was still lit up that the place was open. I came in and asked for three food items. The man seemed a bit annoyed and me being someone who works as a cashier started to wonder why. Concluding that when people shop at my store late at night and Iv known some employees to get annoyed. I was pretty sure I understood why this man seemed annoyed. So I asked were you about to close. And he answered yes. So I apologized and he said it's ok. When I got my food I asked if I could have some duck sauce. He said behind you on the table. I knew that was the sauce that tasted horrible. But I said thanks anyway and grabbed some hoping maybe it might taste different than it used to be. Then I heard the man seem to grumble behind me sounding annoyed. The sauce I tried tasted terrible like I thought. And their shrimp is more salty than it used to be. If your going to be this upset for a customer to come in late because your about to close you should just turn off your open sign in the window. I felt very uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure that will be my last visit to that restaurant.

The best Chinese food ever! They've only gotten better with time and I was a regular about 20 years ago. They always make their food fresh delicious and leaving you wanting more anytime of the day or night. There other restaurant in branford is no match for the original one!

We have routinely ordered our take out from this restaurant for over 8 years, at least once monthly. Quantity has decreased, flavor has significantly decreased, prices have increased. Not sure why the quality and flavor has decreased. Can't blame Covid for this one!! Will be switching over to other alternatives. If you're going to pay that much more then you should get the increase rather than a decrease in quality

This place is small. But the food they cook for the money you pay is great! My go too easy piece

It's a decent little take-out place. It's conveniently located, or I'd probably forget all about it. Only because Chinese food is not one of my favorites.

Parking: Plaza lot with lots of parking, very close to the building usually.

Food and service is great. I have never eaten there. It is like a gas station. Fried rice is THE BEST in 50 miles.

the food was bland, and soggy. all the food tasted wet and looked like it had been sitting in water. the house sweet and sour tasted like they just took it out of the packages and put it in containers, it was honestly just gross. on top of having bad food, the service was absolutely terrible. the older man working saturday night was snappy, irritable, and just not pleasant to talk too. he acted like it was an inconvenience to him that we ordered from the place he works. overall, spending 40 dollars at this place was a waste of money and time. i recommend going anywhere else.
