I was in Dayville and I was starving. I stopped into Railside Tavern and loved the welcome and the look. Huge menu, lots of seafood, beef, and pasta choices, big plus, angel hair is an option. I got the chicken picata w/ angel hair, lots of capers, no artichoke hearts. Served very hot, juicy with plenty of lemon sauce, I liked it, chicken was slightly over cooked. I then had a cup of lobster bisque, it was very good, great broth and lots of ground lobster, no chunks but obviously lots of ground lobster, yummy! For desert I had the special offering of apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Of course, awesome!! If you're in the area or passing through, definitely check out Railside Tavern, I'm still happily stuffed!!

I've eaten here many times and usually don't have complaints but I was disappointed today. First thing was as we were waiting to be served we noticed that the window sills needed cleaning and the curtains had cobwebs. Secondly we were served our wine promptly but the glasses were not cleaned properly. Then came the sandwich that I ordered and mentioned twice that I did not want tomatoes but as I started to eat I noticed tomato seeds in my sandwich. They apparently added tomatoes and realized the mistake and just took the tomatoes off. Not acceptable. Sorry but I felt this needed to be said.

Good food overall, took way too long for the amount of patrons in the dining room. Probably wasn't the wait staff fault if understaffed, but service suffered. Better local options elsewhere for the price.
