This is the best cooking class I’ve taken so far. Lovely setting, thorough instructions, and detailed handouts. Well paced several hours. I highly recommend. I’m going back soon.

Consider taking a bread class from Stephanie! I participated in the Sourdough bread class and loved it! Great space, super instructor, and first-hand knowledge from a superior breadmaker! Thank you, Stephanie... I will be back! Marie

I attended the Sourdough baking workshop and it was extraordinary! Stephanie is an amazing baker and also a kind and patient teacher. I left the 3.5 hour class feeling ready to try sourdough baking on my own. It was more than just baking, she really explained the science, history and experience of baking sourdough in such an interesting way. We also got to taste some of her bread and some local jams and honey along with it. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. I look forward to trying more of her classes!

Such a great experience in the Beginner Sourdough class! Stefanie has thought of all the small details and makes sourdough baking fun and approachable. I really appreciated getting to practice techniques in class and also taking home materials to continue baking on my own. I would love to take another class with Stefanie some day!

I took the Intro to Sourdough class at Brot Workshop, and I had a wonderful time! Stefanie and her assistant, Janet, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The workspace is perfect for a small group (4-6) and it made the class feel more intimate and hands-on!
For the price, the results and benefits of taking the class were awesome: participants walked away with their own sourdough starter, a dough they’d made from scratch to bake the next day, as well as a fully-baked loaf that they got to score and bake during class from dough pre-made by Stefanie the day before!
The class material ranged from the scientific ins-and-ours of how the fermentation and baking process worked, to hands-on making our dough and our starter, to scoring a dough and decorating it, to baking! Stefanie and Janet were both very patient and instructive, helping all of us through each step along the way (even forming the dough, which I think was the most difficult part for all of us participants)! We also had the opportunity to taste-test some other loaves, including (but not limited to) a challah and rye, along with some butters, jams and spreads!
Overall, the class was incredibly fantastic, and I had a wonderful time. I participated with my mom, and it was a wonderful mother-daughter experience! I highly recommend Brot Workshop for anyone interested in bread-making or looking for a new adventure!

I took Stefanie's rye class and it was awesome! She covers a LOT of material, but provides a printed guide to follow along (and use at home) as well as allowing videos, pictures, and plenty of questions. We got to experience mixing, shaping, and baking, and left class with finished loaves, a loaf to bake immediately upon getting home, and a rye starter to bake in the future.
During a break while breads were baking, we sampled the different types of rye with various spreads and cheeses. SO delicious. If you like rye bread or baking bread in general, you won't be disappointed taking one of Stefanie's classes.

Lovely experience! Stefanie is charming, and passionate about bread making! I learned a great deal about sourdough, ate some EXCELLENT BREAD, and walked away with my own loaf of bread, dough, and starter! I highly recommend this workshop! Stef's kitchen/home/garden are so inviting and beautiful too!

What a fun date experience! Learned how to make bread from “start”er to finish! Stefanie was an amazing instructor and gives so much information to go home and confidentlymake your own bread. Even making starter from scratch! All done in the loveliness of her historical house and bread-making friendly kitchen. Would highly recommend this experience. Come hungry!!!
