Walked in with a friend and sat at a tableThe bartender looked over at us a few times and Continued talking to other patronsLiterally sat there for 10 minutes not with any kind of greeting so we walked out. Unbelievably horrible customer serviceClearly would never go back and as a business owner myself I am appalled that they really didn’t care to have new customers business
The owner of this restaurant threw a dirty napkin at my boyfriend while we were at the bar at a different restaurant. The owner was shouting at the top of his lungs and making a complete fool of himself while we were patrons at a different local restaurant. Maybe instead of antagonizing customers at a random restaurant he should start paying the rent at his restaurant
Very nice place Good food nice people
Very happy this spot is back in action and having Music! The fried avocado was excellent!
I've seen a lot of positive reviews here, and I'm wondering if this was just my experience...the menu looked awesome initially. That was...the first menu. It was incredibly difficult to find an updated menu which was fine at first. Not only is there not a website, but the menu is only on their Facebook which you have to rummage through and hope you have the most updated one. As someone who likes good food and seldom complains this was really frustrating. It only costs about $20 max to have a functioning website, really not difficult. Next thing that was annoying was finding the place. There wasn't even a sign on the outside or anything that indicated where it was.Moving on to the important bits which was the food. Again, sounded awesome on the menu. The calamari wasn't great, but that was fine I didn't expect to be blown away, the fries were horrible and soggy and looked crispy but they were awful. I had the Beer Cheese Fries and it was pretty bad. My friend and I each had sandwiches which not great. Again the fries were real bad. Considering there aren't a lot of choices in Killingworth this looked like a better option when you aren't in the mood for Pizza from Da Vinci's or another local Pizza joint...but boy was that the first time I've really ever regretted a meal. I've eaten at my fair share of average local townie restaurants with mediocre food when I'm not looking for anything fancy, and I don't complain because I know what to expect which is comfort food for a fair price when you don't want to cook...but this was bad. I can honestly say one of the few meals I've had in my life that I've actually regretted to eat.I hate leaving bad reviews like this but I think it's better to be honest and give honest feedback when necessary so the staff and management can correct their shortcomings, and provide a better experience for the next customer.
My Band Funk 48 had the pleasure of playing last night. Fun had by all . Excellent food and hospitality. Will be playing again. Thank You Joe & Staff
Had a great time try the class casino
Great happy hour- & waitstaff
I'm giving this four stars in its category because it is a couple steps up from a dive bar. Actually I like it much better than a dive bar. Everything in there is tastefully decorated. The owners are friendly and responsive. The food is pretty good. There is karaoke there and there is a patio and there's plenty of room to social distance. The wine is definitely a few steps up from most of the dive bars. And not exactly cheap after all it is killingworth. The only place for miles. So it's the last chance Cafe of Connecticut. Out in the wilderness where nothing else is around. A very nice ride during the day but if you have to drive back late make sure you don't drink that much. Keep up with what they will be doing come summer on the patio and with more karaoke and open mic shows. A great place to go for a little fun and entertainment.
Best food, caring staff and the best atmosphere. The regular patrons are like a family. I hear they support local youth rugby and children in need. That speaks volumes. Joey and Pam care about others❤

I use to love going to June’s, however now that it’s the Thirsty Gull I cant. The food my family had last night was terrible. You would be better off going to McDonalds, you’d get more food and it’d be higher quality. The seafood was terrible, the Venison burger was actually beef, the only somewhat good thing was the Buffacue sandwich. Maybe it’s quality of ingredients? I’m not sure, but if the owner wants to be successful they need to pick up their food game. A lot of friends said not to get food there but I had to see for myself, sadly they were right in their statements.
good food and drink. nice day outside dinning. good time.
We will never come back here again. Sent the food back twice because it wasn’t cooked, and the owner still said we had to pay for it. They didn’t even give us the right steak we ordered. The new owner is rude and arrogant, they lost our business.
Got take out here for dinner tonight. Food was amazing!! Will definitely be back!!
