Went here with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. Our reservation was at 8pm we didn’t get seated until 8:40. There were about 10 other couples waiting in the waiting area. We finally got sat waiter was kind working very hard but obviously stressed. We didn’t have any idea that the Valentine’s Day dinner was $95 prefix menu but was willing to try hoping the food was going to be good. Waited 30 mins for our appetizers which were 4/10 nothing crazy at all. Then waited another 30 mins for our dinner which was horrible. Chicken parm tasted like rubber, my boyfriend’s steak was okay but nothing special. It was edible but not good. This is when it got alittle crazy. The couples sitting with us all started talking saying they’ve been waiting over an hour for their dinners we all said it was NOT worth $95. I would say $20 per dish at most. The staff was working hard clearly overwhelmed we felt bad for them. A couple couples left which I don’t blame them. We stayed waiter took off our drinks from bill and they took off one meal which honestly wasn’t enough. They ran out of dessert giving us a dessert we didn’t even like. Another weird thing they put the older couples all in one section downstairs and but all of the young couples teens to 30s upstairs very strange. Overall bad experience, bad food, horrible organization by managers and boss. Don’t go here waste of money and definitely a scam $95pp for horrible food!!! Crazy.

I made a Valentine’s Day reservation at La Foresta for a special dinner. What we experienced was beyond unacceptable.

When we arrived, there were about 10 people crowded at the entrance with no hostess in sight for at least 10 minutes. When someone finally came out, there was no welcome, no apology for the wait — just a rude, visibly irritated attitude.

We were seated and informed it was a $95 per person prix-fixe three-course menu. Fine — we expected a premium experience for a premium price.

We waited an hour just for our appetizers. We ordered the “spicy meatballs,” which weren’t even remotely spicy. For something that simple — and after waiting that long — the quality was extremely disappointing. Honestly, the appetizers were underwhelming at best.

We then waited for our entrées. And waited. And waited.

Every 15 minutes we were told, “It’ll be right out” and “The kitchen is backed up.” Meanwhile, we watched tables who arrived 30 minutes after us receive their entrées before we did. Around us, multiple tables were openly complaining to one another.

After nearly three hours, we realized our entrées were never coming. We eventually left — along with several other tables doing the same.

To make matters worse, we could hear yelling coming from the kitchen and even glass breaking. It was obvious there was chaos behind the scenes. The entire dining room felt tense and frustrated. No one looked like they wanted to be there — staff included.

For $95 per person, you expect organization, professionalism, and at minimum the food you ordered.

Instead, our Valentine’s Day was completely ruined.

I understand restaurants can get busy on holidays. But this wasn’t “busy.” This was mismanaged, chaotic, and handled poorly from start to finish. There was no communication, no accountability, and no effort to make it right.

Extremely disappointing experience.

First time ever going there on Valentine’s Day the hostess was very rude. Didn’t acknowledge anybody. Finally sat down around 820 appetizers at 8:40. Our dinner didn’t come out till 950 and it wasn’t what we ordered then told us we’d have to wait another hour for what we ordered mind you it was $95 a plate so disappointed.

Very friendly service. We went to celebrate my son as a family. We got a very large comfortable booth. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Wonderful wine list. Perfect for family dinner and celebrations.

We attended a friend's birthday party here and we were in a private room with one waitress for 21 people.

The food was fantastic, great selections to the point where almost every item on the menu was something you wanted to eat.

The private room we were in was perfect for the size group that we had and allowed us to enjoy our own conversations without all of the other patrons listening in or overpowering us.

The service was good The waitress was a little overwhelmed I really think probably two people might have been better on this size party but with just one there was a little bit of delay at times and some confusion.

The waitress was personable and did a great job handling this large party.

Disappointing. Family had special Thanksgiving dinner. But the only thing special was family. The Turkey dinner at $75 looked like something you would find at school cafeteria or prison. The steak had no flavor, the pasta dishes mid. The wine was good, just what was needed to wash the taste of thick cut deli Turkey

I’ve lived in the area for a long time, but for whatever reason had never tried this restaurant. My husband and I booked a table 2 months in advance for our 10-year anniversary.
The entire restaurant was open when we arrived (and most of the time we were there), yet we were sat in a strange corner right next to another couple. We voiced it was our 10-year, not sure why this was the choice.

I will say, our server was friendly and courteous.

Dinner was a disappointment for me. My husband had the salmon. Good, but nothing to write home about, he felt the meal had no flavor. Nothing special. My osso buco on the other hand was quite a let down. To be fair, the shank was cooked perfectly - meat fell off the bone and the couple bites of potato and spinach had a hint of good flavor, however the ENTIRE dish (supersize bowl/plate) was drowned in what seemed like a quart of bland nuclear hot marinara?
It was just very strange.
Not sure why the chef chose to destroy such a beautiful piece of meat.
The flavor of this entire meal was ruined by this awful sauce.

Anyway- Disappointed is the word I have for this place. After 10 years living on the shore and finally trying it out, especially for such a milestone anniversary was just plain disappointing.

I should have read reviews before before ordering dinner... This was one of the most horrible, unprofessional experiences I've ever had. Especially in a place that's trying portray fine dining, a nice spirit and wine list like that and prices comparable to the casino. That was shameful. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Reservation at 5, and we were the only table in the Building for the majority of our time there. But somehow we didn't get drinks for 45 minutes. Almost 630 before one app and one salad come to table and then entrees....and multiple guests do not receive their NY strips for dinner, served cold entrees. And I sat there for almost two hours without food ... Un. Real. Never again.

The food was COLD! All 3 main dishes, one which was fish. Our server never came over to check as for the meal. The drinks were well made and the Atmosphere/company enjoyable the restaurant was wide open. Guess we know why🤦‍♀️
