Up in the northwest corner of the state in Litchfield County holds this hidden gem. It’s been ages since I’ve been here and I practically grew up here and Gooseboro’s as a kid (Cozy Hills Campground.) Bantam Pizza has been here since..well..since I can remember.

Parking - Plenty of it, and there’s a good number of handicap spaces.

Food - Pizza was on point and delicious. Normally..I like my pizza to be doughy and not have that crunch..but their pizza has that crunch but it also falls apart if and when you cut into it so it’s got that perfect texture. I got the Bantam Special but with no fish…I hate anchovies. Crust was a little hard..but it’s okay, I don’t usually eat the crust anyway, even on a doughy pizza…unless it’s stuffed. Soda came out in a can…so no fountain drinks.

Service - Friendly, fast, efficient and always came to see if I needed anything more and how I was doing. She seemed impressed that I ate the whole thing..but it was a small pizza..so of course, I can and will eat it all…especially if it’s good..otherwise it’ll go in the fridge for a week and I’ll forget about it.

Overall…definitely a 5* visit and will return. Menu has changed a bit as far as pricing goes compared to what they show so this is the updated menu.

This review is long overdue. We’ve been coming here for years for sandwiches and pizzas and it’s always consistently delicious and fresh. Just love eating here and taking food to go. Spending time in NYC made me very aware of fresh breads and quality pizza and cold cuts. Bantam pizza absolutely never disappoints!

1st time i ordered here paid $50 for smallest pizza ever, they said no mistake was made and that was the price.....didnt go back for over a year just ordered from them 2nd time and I paid $70 for 2 grinders and a pizza, ordered a basil pizza and when opened the box back home ready to eat it was some kind of pepperoni, peppers, meatball..... not even close to what I ordered. Called to complain about the fact that I paid $70 and not even what I ordered and there response after asking every employee to verify my order was "you're right, we're not sure how that happened, it's very unfortunate we're sorry" Really?? how bout you can give me my money back ??! $70 and you can can just "eh woops sorry" .....yep done with this place for good .

The food is excellent, but the owner is so rude! He was yelling at the young girl that was working for him, saying shes to slow, go find something else to do! Other customers were telling the girl she was doing great, not to listen to him. He was yelling that he is will just close up his business and go to another country (don't remember what he said) it was very uncomfortable for us as customers and I felt very bad for his young employee. Not sure I will be going back

I have been buying bantam pizza for many years and today I went in to buy a few slices and go back to work and when I asked the girl for a small box so the pizza wouldn't fly all over the car she said sorry my boss won't allow me to give you a small box so then I said can I get 2 of the white thin paper plates so I have something to cover the pizza with and she said sorry my boss will only let me give you one paper plate so the next time you order take out at bantam pizza you better bring your own paper plates because things have really changed here and to top it off the young girl who brought me the pizza was so sarcastic you would of thought I was asking for gold bars.

Just ordered a grinder and there was only one lousy piece of ham on it. So disappointed

Disapointing food in a cozy spot with friendly staff. The meatball sub doesn't have full balls of meat, just a few slices of what taste like bad meatloaf with very little sauce on some basic wedge. Chicken nuggets are ordinary and overpriced as either an appetizer or kids option.

Solid locals pizza spot. Their hot sandwiches (grinders) are great, as are their dinner plates.

Way overpriced for what it is. I just spent $34 for a mediocre small pizza and a side of out of the box precooked mozzarella sticks. Food was fine but again way too expensive for what it is. Highly recommend going elsewhere.
