This was our first visit to Sage and Salt. We have enjoyed the predecessor restaurant, Litchfield Saltwater Grille for many years. Sage and Salt did not disappoint - many of our favorite menu items from the Saltwater Grille plus some exciting new ones. Love the interior design changes and so happy to recognize the friendly faces of the waitstaff we have come to know.
Apparently they recently revamped the restaurant and you can tell they haven't dialed it in yet. Food was slow to come out and just kind of average compared to the high end experience the website gave off. We also got two bottles of spoiled wine. We didn't have the heart to send the second one back because our waitress was a sweat heart. I'll give them another shot a few months from now
We had the Valentine Special. The food was very good but the quantity was not. For the price paid a bottle of wine should have been provided. Dana is fantastic.
Overall, the food was very good. I appreciate that I could reserve a table through Open Table as it was Super Bowl Sunday. The one negative is the ambiance. The lighting in the dining area is rather harsh. It should be softer and warmer. The atmosphere should be cozier.
First time here and it was great! We sat in the bar area because the ambiance was so nice! The food and drinks were delicious! We especially enjoyed the calamari and the burgers, as they were cooked to perfection! We can't wait to go back!
First visit since the change and the experience was very good. Pleasant staff, nicely decorated, spacious and accommodating. Our server was attentive and helpful. The appetizers were fresh and delicious. Main courses were excellent and the prices are very reasonable for the area. We will be back.
Newly renovated, great new ambiance with the same warm inviting lounge area. We took advantage of a great offer for $10 off a $40 bill; thanks Andy and Brook! Congratulations on your reopening
Absolutely love that there are some vegan options! The Grilled Beet Salad and Strawberry-Pineapple Mocktail was wonderful, as was the Sage Chicken and Fish and Chips that others in my group ordered. Our server was excellent, love the new look of the place. Looking forward to our next visit.
Expanded the menu but still slow service and to give good value the quality of the food is just ok!
Great service, food, setting and a wonderful remaking of an already very well known location in Litchfield, CT

Looks like they're closing for a couple weeks and renaming themselves. Fish and chips were tasty as were the crab cakes. Sat by the window and it was quite drafty. Good music was playing there. Will visit them again under their new name.
The waitress and bar tender were very welcoming and food was very good. An enjoyable experience.
Always a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, with the most amazing oysters I've been able to find in the area. You will not be disappointed!
Service was slow and there were not so many people so it is unclear why. Plus were not offered the special on Wed/Thurs/Fri...asked twice about that. Food was generous but mixed - shrimp with honey & garlic was too salty and too much sauce.
Very very good restaurant! Excellent food and ambiance. Both husband and I had Dijon cod- great portion. We enjoyed our meal there and had very good drinks. Highly recommend.
