I can honestly say, I’ve been waiting a long time to visit The Bakehouse and I finally made it. What a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and sweet treats.
First, the breads…The variety is incredible. Each loaf is baked to perfection—crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.
Now, let’s talk about the desserts! They are nothing short of spectacular. I had the brownies and the seasonal pumpkin cookie with white chocolate chips! Did I forget get to mention the decadent chocolate cake I ordered for my son’s birthday! OMG…I could go on and on!
The staff is super friendly which makes this spot a definite repeat visit!
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by The Bakehouse. You won’t regret it!

I received kind and patient help with the ordering process and what I picked up was a beautiful cake with the perfect decorative touches. The BakeHouse is the best! Owners are really nice and all the food is top notch, especially the great variety of bread loaves, focaccia, cupcakes and pies. Setting is quaint in what used to be an old jail. Wishing them all the best with continuing to thrive.

My husband and I had our wedding cake made at The Bakehouse. The owners are incredibly nice and generous. We even popped in a week before to ask if they had gluten free options for some guests of ours and they let us sample their almond cookies, which are AMAZING! Our cake was so delicious. It was a big hit, along with the cookies and the gluten free chocolate loaf. Thank you for your outstanding service! We will be returning when we are in the area.

Amazing bakery the best around from the breads to the rolls to the desserts, five star! Jeremy, the owner is super accommodating! We are blessed in our little town to have the bakehouse!
The baked goods are delicious. The staff is always polite & friendly. Be careful parking. Today, 5/30 @ approximately 9:30am, my husband was parked on rt 202 in front of the Bakehouse. He watched as a woman slowly backed into his car. No damage. He politely addressed the woman, "you hit my car" She lied "no I didn't " my husband stated "I watched you hit my car" she again lied "no I didn't. I was watching my camera." He reiterated "I watched you back into my car" she then stated "maybe I did" She lied repeatedly. That's what gets us both. The lie. There was no damage. A good woman would have owned it & apologized. Be careful parking, but more importantly don't be surprised when you're lied to.

Bakehouse is the very best artisanal bakery I have ever sampled. I have been a regular customer since the bakery opened. My favorites are the Sperlonga bread -- nice and chewy! -- and the croissants and cinnamon buns. All my guests at our Camp David resort and lodge rave about the quality. Customer service is top-notch, and there is a nice bakery vibe for eating inside. Highly recommended!
We stopped here this morning while out for a Sunday drive. I had a blueberry muffin, while the wife had a pumpkin scone. Both were good, although this was the sloppiest muffin I've had ever, in my whole, entire life. That being said, they give you some special bag to avoid making a mess everywhere. Parking can be a little tricky, but we found a space on the side that says for store only with a fifteen-minute time limit. It was a little busy when we were here, but we were in and out rather quickly. The staff was friendly.
