I enjoy @thecorner because they have seasonal menus and autumn is one of the best. Reuben sandwich was one of the best I've had which cooked with brown sugar and red cabbage slaw. Noodle bowl got rave reviews as well. Service is great, everyone seems happy to be there.
We sat at the bar! I had the crock of onion soup and my husband had a burger. Everything was yummy. The staff was super attentive and helpful. The restaurant was buzzing with many diners. We would definitely return!
Wonderful spot. Came in for lunch on a Sunday and everything was spectacular. The restaurant is very well organized. Will definitely come back next time in the area. PS, recommend reservations. We had reservations and got in perfectly others without reservations were not so lucky.
We love it here but the service was extremely slow and portions were smaller than usual. I'd go back but was for sure amazed that dinner took over 75 minutes to get after ordering.
Chef Carlos is amazing. You have to try his food. Every plate of food that we have tasted has been DELICIOUS!!
The tacos El Pastor smelled odd, and was a bit greasy (if you have a sensitive stomach I wouldn't recommend). The taste was tangy and sweet. I would use different ingredients for a more savory taste that brings out the pork belly. The shrimp tacos I highly recommend, they were delicious. The tacos are overstuffed and always fall apart so ask for a fork. They have flour and corn tortillas available.
How did a pleasant, eating experience a few months ago change into a half hour wait for soup and a sandwich, and a crudely prepared starter on doughy bread with ingredients helter skelter and chopped and sliced clumsily. Not going back.
@ The Corner is a restaurant where creativity and freshness are the main focus. Chef Carlos Perez is second to none. The combinations, flavors will delight any person that knows great food!! The menu seasonally changes, and I wait with great anticipation to “taste” what’s coming next. There is nothing boring or ordinary on the menu.
Nice bartenders but it took 35 minutes to bring my food. About 25 minutes in, the bartender apologized for the wait and told me my food was coming right out. But it was still at least another 10 minutes before she brought me my meal. Meanwhile the parties on either side of me at the bar got their food even though they came in after I did. And when my fish and chips finally was put in front of me it was so burned I was shocked. It’s as if they were taking that long so they could thoroughly over cook it! Really bad experience.
We’ve stopped before but it’s been a few years. Today we had the Onion soup which was very good snd the chicken parm sandwich-the cheese was different but good. We both enjoyed our meals. Service was also great.

This is my second visit to this restaurant. It's become a must recommend for my foodie friends in CT. The menu is superb. I enjoyed my sandwich and salad and can't wait to come back for dinner. Service was friendly and helpful.
Awfully treated at this restaurant by waitress and management. Went with 5 other people to have a celebration of a birthday and anniversary. Waitress was moody and we asked for wine at dinner. Wine never came. We asked why, and was rudely treated by management! They said we had enough to drink! We had only 1 round of drinks! We were NOT loud and if we were, no one told us! We were not out of control at all, this was the waitresses feelings because we were having a good time and she was in a mood. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Much better restaurant s too go to that treat you as a guest and are much appreciated by your business. Not this place, don’t waste your time or money.
Great dinner spot. My husband and I shared the grilled cheese en carozza (massive, good but a little oily, took the rest of it home!). I had the street corn salad with grilled chicken, it was phenomenal. Didn’t quite remind me of street corn, but it was delicious. My husband had a custom burger and he loved it. The waitress was super nice, too!
You can’t miss it, It’s on the Corner. This was a great night because the service from our waiter was outstanding. The appetizers of pretzel knots, truffle fries, and sweet potato fries was a big hit. Everyone at the table was impressed with the quality and freshness of our meals. The burgers were cooked with perfection and adding their Corner sauce made it mouth watering on every bite. Great location in the center of Litchfield.
We made reservations for 5 people for 1 pm ,at about 11:30 they called to say they had a water leak and wouldn’t be able to open due to no water. At 12:15 they called back to say they had problem solved and will be able to accommodate us. Arrived there and greeted and taken to our table. Service was great and the animal burger was done perfectly plus other meals great ,leftovers for dinner tonight Can’t say enough about the place, service and food .
