We stumbled upon The Village Restaurant on a Sunday evening while trying to find a restaurant that was open and still taking orders. They were about to shut the kitchen in 5 minutes yet waited for all five of us to settle down and gave us enough time to decide our order. The service was warm. The staff is friendly. And, the food was great. They have enough vegetarian options on the menu. We ordered bruschetta, veggie wrap, portobello gorgonzola sandwich, beyond burger. Loved their Rum Pear punch cocktail, fall special mocktail, and banana pie cake.
Vegetarian options: Decent amount of vegetarian dishes to select from.

Once we received our food, we never saw our waiter again. No drink refills, nothing. Food was overpriced and just bland. We were with a group of 8 people and no one thought the food was great. Most thought it was just ok and some didn’t like it at all. Disappointing.

Yeah um the people who runs this place likely smell there own farts - upon reflection (3 years later) I think I was unduly harsh in this review. I take it back! There is no fart smelling going on here. Good people and pretty pretty good place.

The food is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Andrew our server was absolutely amazing and engaging and that means a lot to me. I’ll definitely recommend this place and I can’t wait to bring my family here to enjoy this exquisite food! Thank you guys so much for everything I’ll be back!!

Had a gift card and decided to stop by rhe taproom with my mother. Mallory, the bartender, was amazing. I loved her personality and she made some amazing drinks! We had the iced coffee mudlside and I was deeply impressed that they even go so far as to make their own whipped cream! My clam Chowder was phenomenal, the clam strips were fresh and crispy and my mother loved her open faced steak sandwich. We had such a good time, that I forgot to take pictures. But you can tell everything is made from scratch and locally sourced whenever applicable. We will definitely be returning. Well done!
