I've been twice in the last five years and both times I have said never again, the food is always most definitely reheated from days before. Nothings fresh, only stay in business because of locals who don't travel more than 10 minutes away.

Wood's was always my favorite BBQ. I'd make the 53 mile trip once a year to treat myself. However, due to family obligations I haven't been in 10 years. It was a major disappointment and I'll never go back. I thought I lucked out since I didn't have to wait for a table, but others must have realized the change too. First, there were so many flies (inside), landing on the tops of the open BBQ sauce bottles. Disgusting. I ordered the pulled pork and beef brisket platter with 2 sides. The waitress was pleasant & the food was out in about 15 minutes. The portion was generous & the pulled pork was good, but the brisket was literally 1/2 fat. The sweet potato fries were dry and cold and the sweet potato casserole was nothing special. Even the corn bread recipe changed since I was there last.
Finally, my plan was to order beef ribs, but they no longer had them on the menu. Bummer, but I did have nice weather & the area is beautiful. Just need to find a new place for ribs.

Not the BBQ you are looking for if you are used to Texas BBQ Brisket
The first time going, there is something of the hidden path, little place in the corner. We will be going back. You could really taste the smoked meats. Nice and tender.

The food was excellent! The mac, the beans, pulled pork, and sweet potato fries were all filled with flavor and had great texture.
The pork especially was very tender, and was one of the only pulled porks I have ever had that could really stand on it's own without sauce, the smokey flavor was perfect!

We were so excited to eat here as many have said it’s so good. Disappointing is being nice about it. All the smoked meats we had ( ribs, brisket, chicken, pulled pork and Kabasa) had ZERO smoke flavor and no classic smoke ring or bark and were all dry! The 18hr smoked brisket seemed like it was just corn beef out of a slow cooker . The pulled pork tacos were so watery the shells turned to mush with lukewarm warm refried beans. Even the salsa was just canned tomatoes with no onions/garlic or any flavor. The jalapeño poppers were you run of the mill any grocery store, frozen generic poppers. The cornbread with jalapeño had no peppers in it and was definitely left out too long and dry out. The only thing that was somewhat good was the pork belly appetizer drowned in sauce . The woman’s bathroom was FILTHY with sticky floors and soap streaming into the garbage can below. The nasty wall to wall carpet is definitely due to be changed throughout the place. The staff was friendly but that was the only good we could point out. What a shame and not worth all the hype.

We have been here many times. This time it was less than acceptable. My buddy and I each ordered wings. They brought them out to us and his were fresh and a nice size wing. Mine were very small and overcooked and dried out. (Old batch). I mentioned this to the server/owner when she delivered tonight table that it was so obvious and she replied that they are pulled from the same batch. I tried them and they were horrible. I sent them back for better wings and she came back out within 5 minutes “with new wings” and they gave me back the same shitty wings that I originally had in front of me. We will never go to this place ever again. Poor customer service at the least, and from the business owner!!! Unacceptable.

This place has gone down hill A LOT in the last few years, I used to get food here regularly a few years ago.
First off don't trust their website, I was absolutely shocked when we got there to find the menu prices are at least 50% higher than stated on the website. They also gave us the dinner menu (higher prices) during lunch hours and we had to ask for the lunch menu. We ordered the pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches with sweet potato fries. The pulled pork sandwich was very light on the meat and dry/chewy, it needed a lot of sauce to eat. The sweet potato fries were absolutely disgusting, undercooked, gross black and brown spots and they didn't even clean/peel the potatoes and imagine my shock when we were charged an additional dollar for the sweet potato fries with each meal. The waitress didn't even warn us and it didn't say anything about an upcharge on the menu. They also charged 3.50 for a fountain soda. So for 2 people to have lunch it ended up costing 45+ dollars with tip.
On top of all that I had serious stomach problems for the rest of the day after eating the food.
The place is dark, filthy and the place is falling apart. They should be ashamed of the food they serve here. Absolutely abysmal experience overall

Fries were grey. The wings were like eating rocks. The pulled pork gave my friend a stomach ache. Don't do it. 😑

Great spot - excellent service - we came for the Mexican food. By far the best we’ve have had since moving to the East Coast 30 years ago.

Always leaves us feeling a bit disappointed. Pulled pork was dry and stringy, chicken was dry and hardly any flavor, brisket was good. Cole slaw was good, mashed potatoes were a hard, dryish lump and the baked beans were dry and hard. Jalapeno corn bread not bad. For a to go order should we have had sauce on the side with our order and maybe it would not have been so dry? We dont eat here often and every time we hope its going to be good and we are always a little disappointed.

i think this is a hit or miss. apparently the cook did not check the food before leaving the kitchen. The slab of ribs where so bad my husband could not put a fork in them. They were dry up and brittle. we told the waitress and all she said was im sorry you didn't like them. Really!!. Had to ask for everything. more napkins, sugar for the tea. Asked for an ice tea with a slice of orange and got a dry up wedge on my cup. Get some qualified cooks and servers who care and understand the good and customer service industry.
This is a wildly fun place to go to on the bar side. Jill was a fabulous waitress/bartender then we had a lot of fun with her. The food was great. The environment was fun and will definitely be back again
