Wontons were a little overcooked, but the food was great for the price.

When I called my order in, I told the gentleman that I do not want onions or mushrooms in anything. When I finished my check the map for driving directions, my phone rang again it was the gentleman from the gentleman from the restaurant. He called to ask if I also didn't want onions in the fried rice that came with the General Tso's combo platter. He could have assumed it was for another person, but he didn't It was for me and I so appreciate his going the extra mile for my health (I'm allergic to onions). As to the food, it was good, solid well- made fare. For my taste, it needed a little tweaking --- a little soy sauce here, a little duck sauce there and a pretty fine dinner, breakfast and lunch. Yum!Dietary restrictions: I covered how seriously they take this in my review.

General Tso's chicken was straight fire. However, the crab Rangoons were bafflingly bland.

to be completely honest , this review also applies to other Chinese takeout places I have tried in area too. It is impossible to find decent Chinese food in the Southington Plainville area. I must have tried 7-8 places this year. Still, this is a true and accurate review of this site based on of the food from this weeks order. I don't know what is going on in the world of Chinese takeout but the food is bland and tasteless with many missing basic ingredient. No sesame seeds, no bok Choy, no celery, no water chestnut, no bean sprouts, no peanuts. We ordered 3 dishes, all were bland, one tasting like watered down soy sauce and the "spicy" one a watered down red concoction with a few red pepper flakes another a thin oily egg foo young sauce was just gross. Is there a cornstarch shortage, get someone to teach you how to thicken a sauce. i doctored these dishes at home with garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil and it made them edible . i will not be ordering from here again. Truthfully, I am now giving up on ordering Chinese takeout and will make my own. I am not trying to ruin anyones business I would just like to be able to get the same tasting food as we got prior to 2020.

We really like them! Been with them 5 years. I’m just about to pick up the food. My whole family enjoy it.

My Favorite Chinese Restaurant in Southington! Very good Shrimp Rolls and I enjoy the wonton soup! Just wish they delivered...I can go for some right now!

Really have enjoyed the food from here for over the past few years. But over the past few months the food has been extremely spicy. I understand general Taos is suppose to be spicy. But it’s starting to become unbearable and not enjoyable. Hope this review helps them regain some of there reputation back.

Just finished up our meal from Zheng’s. We got several dishes and they were all delicious - chow mai fun, lo mein, moo goo gai pan, orange chicken, Gen Tso’s chicken, and vegetable eggrolls. My husband’s only gripe was that the spicy dishes we ordered were too spicy. They are quite spicy, but I loved it! Next time I’d just ask if they could go easy on the chili peppers.

Best Chinese Resturant in the Southington area. Classic American Chinese. Fresh food, not greasy or salty.... Its are place to stop.
