Drinks tasted very watered down , no one detected any liquor in any 4 of the drinks.. perhaps she forgot to put liquor in. ?? the chicken parmigiana was too thick and drenched in cheese The pasta sauce was pasty without much flavor. The short ribs were great , chicken Milanese & pasta were not very flavorful. Cajun salmon was ok , Calamari was great!!!

Be aware! All of their items are even amounts which is fine! However!!! The CT tax for dining is 7.35% and our bill was $120.00 and they added $10.00 in tax. The CT tax on $120.00 is $8.82. We asked the manager and they have no idea why the register ups it to an even number. FYI manager knew the tax should be $8.82 but still gave us the bill with tax being $10.00.

Ok. Ordered takeout food which was fine but overpriced. Owner is very rude taking order over phone and it wasnt the first time experiencing that. Upon arrival it felt like the owner couldn't care about my business. If take out is annoying to you then stop taking outside orders. You wont see me eat in there as it is small and trypically loud.

I have no idea how this restaurant received so many good reviews. The food was simply mediocre at exceptional food prices. We literally had to spit out the raw oysters and had stomach issues the next morning. The pork chop was overcooked and therefore dry, probably because they butterflied it (like a diner would do). I specifically told the waiter that I did not want the pork chop to be well done and dry, and he assured me it would be slightly pink but it was not. When he asked how the pork chop was, after my response, he didn't even stop at the table to discuss it, he just sprinted by and said "oh, sorry". When we told him about the oysters smelling and tasting bad, he offered us dessert free of charge, but we just wanted to inform the kitchen so they wouldn't serve them to anyone else. The waiter's response was that the other table loved them. Seafood should not smell bad and certainly not taste bad. In the end, the waiter took the price of the oysters off the bill and comped our drinks which was the decent thing to do, but the whole ordeal was very uncomfortable. He also did not return with our take home leftovers, which was ok, because as I've said, the food was mediocre. But the place was cozy with a nice outdoor dining area, albeit noisy, so I would just stick with drinks and maybe small bites.

We recently moved to Middlebury and heard this place was good for lunch/dinner . We ended up going one evening and the place does seem cozy and cute . The dinner dishes we ended up getting were good but the service wasn't worth it . The waitress were more interested it people that seemed like they were locals at the bar . We had to ask for the waitress, no bread is given unless you ask. We had no acknowledgement whatsoever ever , we weren't rushed or anything but you can just tell it was an unwelcoming place for new people .
Had a great time here last night! We enjoyed the calamari to start and I had the grilled salmon for dinner, and I cannot wait to go back just to have this again! Everyone enjoyed their meals, and service was kind and attentive as well (thank you, Gary!)

Very cozy place with many regulars. Menu does state it takes time to prepare but we we not offered bread nor does the entrees come with a salad- so it ended up being a long time to wait for our dinner. The Chicken and Pork Milanese were very good but the Braised Beef over linguine was not. Beef was chewy and the food got boring after a few bites. I am sure the chef can come up with something better like the Braised Beef at the "Kitchen" in Prospect- big pieces so tender served over mashed potatoes

The "Meet Me Here Burger" was fantastic. I tried the Polenta Fries because they looked interesting but didn't care for them. But you have to try new things. My wife had the "Braised Short Ribs"...Outstanding!
