awesome mac and cheese can't wait to have there brisket when I come back

Went to their store in Wallingford, always great food, and a great team, everyone is friendly including the owner. Can't wait for Milldale CT to open!!

Always have heard of this place, not sure what took me so long to actually get here considering I live 15 mins away. This is hands down the best BBQ I've had in quite a while. I can actually taste the meat, not just the sauce, I like how they didn't over do it with the sauce, it was just the right combo. I got mac and cheese as a side, and wish I had gotten an extra side of it, it was so damn good. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

Very tasty meal. My 14 year old was amazed and did not pick over the onions. We had the Moo sandwich with a side of bean and also the hot dog with beans. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu when in the area. I will try the ribs next.

Clean friendly the food was great!! Took my brother and nephew from Georgia first time all the things I heard about how good everything is was true did not dissapoint!

Got influenced by the unjustified rave reviews. Tried this place with the Mrs. Extremely disappointed. Ribs were dry & premade. They probably nuked them for 60 seconds then served them. Pulled BBQ sandwich was another 'regret.' Ribs at Ruby Tuesday are actually better than this place as they are 'made to order.' And pulled pork sandwich is much better at Joey C's or other local restaurants. "Food is like Mission BBQ's or at Food Courts in malls." = NOT COMING BACK.

Been quite a while since I was at the Pig Rig as it has been very busy with work. But was in the mood so decided to go back, and it did not disappoint. First, facility has been upgraded since I was last here, and it looks great. Second, service always perfect. I ordered the Brisket sandwich combo with Mac and cheese and cornbread. The brisket was amazing and the Mac and cheese was perfect. I ate the cornbread, but not as good as in past as it was dry. Regardless of the cornbread, still great and I will return!

While staying in the area for the night, I checked out TripAdvisor for a recommendation saw this review and came here. Excellent choice I had this half rack of ribs with the baked beans and cornbread. Everything was tasty and tender. Thanks TripAdvisor. Counter person was friendly and accommodating.

We had the ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Both excellent as were the baked beans and mac and cheese. Cornbread also very good but any chance it could be warmed up as I think that is the way to go. Prices very reasonable based on the large portions and great quality. Service extremely pleasant. They also do take out and noticed a steady stream of pickups while we dined in. Will return to try out other menu items.

We used the Pig Rig food truck for a surprise 80th birthday party. The food was absolutely delicious - especially the sampler. Everyone raved about the food. The owners are friendly, quick to respond and make amazing BBQ. The 2 young men who worked the truck for our party were awesome. They made sure everyone was happy with their meal. They were friendly too - engaged in conversation while serving. Highly recommend the food truck for your next event as well as trying their restaurant in Wallingford too.

Had a backyard BBQ and catered Pulled Pork, Mac And Cheese, and Ribs and it was delicious. All my guests loved the food as well. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves Barbecue!

Pig Rig catered our daughter’s wedding yesterday and we cannot say enough about the food and the service ! They were right on time with the food ( thank you Brenna for helping me figure out the best time to serve food ). They came , set up , stayed to keep food going and then cleaned up. The food was out of this world. We loved the selections and loved how easy and flexible Brenna was when working with us on the menu. It was a huge success and we had over a dozen southern guests at the wedding and every one of them said it was some of the best BBQ they have had. We had so many people asking where we got the food. There was not a drop left after but still had plenty for guests to even come for seconds ! We live in Colchester and picked Pig Rig because, honestly, we were scrambling to find a caterer that was free for that day. They were the first to respond , so we took our chances based on a friend’s recommendation. We had lunch there the day we gave the deposit. It turned out to be the best stroke of luck. We will definitely be making the trip to Wallingford again and again ! It’s the next day and I’m still getting calls and texts asking where we got the food. Thank you so much ! While the bride and groom are definitely the stars of the day , the food can make it break a wedding and Pig Rig definitely made the wedding!!

Another Diamond in hiding in the rough !! If you are Looking for a great fulfilling meal, look for this cute joint tucked away in a small corner Yale Plaza in Wallingford. It is right off 15 !!! The Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Ribs were very moist, Rib meat came clean off the bone. Sweet potato corn bread was amazing as well. Staff was very Friendly, nice and helpful when we were asking about selections. We agree with some of the other reviews, that the portions were perfect size. Highly recommend this place !

Being from Kansas we were searching for kcstyle bbq for my husband's birthday. We found it at pig rig. We both enjoyed the burnt end plate, cornbread, potato salad. Carrot cake and Grack for dessert. The owner is an awesome person, and a veteran. Will definitely be back!
