For the price you get very little food. No bread at the beginning of the meal and no sides with the meal. Portions are also very small.
Delicious early dinner. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was excellent. Would definitely return.
I have been dining at Ballo since it first opened at Mohegan Sun and I was always impressed with the quality, taste, inventiveness and portion size but since Covid the restaurant has declined considerably. We had the Big Cheese which if you frequent Ballo enough you know exactly what that is, we had it and it was very good but the portion size has declined for a dish that use to cost $15 13 years ago it is now a whopping $35 and is almost half the size. I had the Pork Chop which I have had before but it was overcooked and dry and for $48 very over-priced. The biggest disappointment of all was the Burratta Salad which came on a appetizer plate with 4 cherry tomatoes and 3 toast points and a drizzle of balsamic ---thats it. Mind you this dish use to be mind-blowing as it came with a generous portion of Prosciutto, a bed of arugula, yellow and red halved cherry tomatoes extra virgin olive oil and a generous amount of aged balsamic. I hope the new re-imagined restaurant they are going to open in a month or so brings back what was so unique and thrilling about that restaurant that my wife and I use to look on the website just to see what the specials were for the week so we could plan to go back but I guess we'll see but for now if remains depressingly disappointing as it was our favorite Italian restaurant almost anywhere in the country with the exception of Little Italy in Manhattan.
We had a great time! The restaurant is beautiful and classy. The food was very good. It was my husband's birthday, and he received a complimentary couple cannolis with a birthday candle. It was very busy, but the service kept up fairly well.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner with great service and reasonable value. We ordered the mussels, burrata, fresh bread, ravioli, and chicken scallopini. Everything was fantastic!
Always amazing. We have been so many times that we always ask for Brandon Evans, He brings the quality of professional and great personality you want at a high end restaurant in the casino. most attentive and knowledgeable about all the food, we have always tried his recommendations. This last visit with great surprise he informed us of the changes coming. He sold us to absolutely come back!!
Love Ballo but really disappointed with how much the menu keeps changing. They charge now for house bread and took off the garlic bread. Got rid of shrimp scampi. Now got rid of chicken francaise which was Amazing there and our go to. Also used to have an amazing cheese and meat platter appetizer and that was removed. Wish some of those would be put back on. With so much change there really isn’t anything appealing to me now. This was our spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and lots of date nights.
Shrimp dishes seem like they use cheap seafood, kind of spongy. Steak was bland, needed much more salt. Side dishes for steak were good, atmosphere is nice, staff is good. I'm Italian and I do cook a lot, so I'm a little hard on the judgment. We ordered two steaks. Four sides and the chicken scallopini. Scallopini did not have mushrooms, but instead had potatoes? However, it was decent. Bill came to $245 for two people we did not order alcohol. place for a special occasion, I've been there twice now probably wouldn't go back.
The menu has changed but our meals, as always, were fabulous!! Our server, Sam, was very helpful with questions and such. A very special place for us and we are always looking forward to our next visit.
The entire staff was very friendly & courteous. We had a few drinks at the bar before our table was ready. Bartenders were very friendly. When we got to our table our server & runners were all very nice. The reception staff were also extremely nice & helpful as I had a few requests if possible for my wife's birthday & they came through with flying colors. The food was delicious. 5 stars all the way around. Would highly recommend

Sam our waiter didn't miss a beat. He was informed on ALL the specials, kept an eye on our table for timely clearing without rushing Us. Doesn't have to be pasta, the Halibut was fabulous!!
Bread was super, super ordinary. $10 to boot. I felt embarrassed for them. My steak was inedible. Don't know what it was but it wasn't filet mignon. I think Gordon Ramsey would have keeled over. It could not be cut with a steak knife. I told them to ask the chef to try it himself. Yes, I ordered it well done as always. So what. I've never had a steak this bad. First time in my life I ever sent anything back. That said, wait staff took it well and gave me an alternative dish without a problem. Kudos to them. Only what I got as a replacement was also ordinary. Hopefully, this was a one time mess up. That said, something has definitely changed about Ballo. I've been going since it opened. BTW. What's with all the fennel in every pasta dish except one? Yuck.
Outstanding waitress and service overall excellent. Food was very good but half of my wife's eggplant Parm was very undercooked for some reason. She said one side was good and the other almost raw. My sausage rigatoni was good and spicy. Portion size was huge. We had the PEI mussels app and they were very good. Desserts were excellent, as was the espresso. I thought the food overall was pricey for basic, if very well done, Italian food. For example, four yeast rolls were ten dollars. Gone are the days when casino foods were loss leaders to lure gamblers. Still recommended with service and ambiance pulling the star rating up.
We have dined here many times. My meal was perfect. My wife's special was dry and bland. Our server was good. We requested a booth in restaurant. The host sat us in middle table in the bar. I reminded of our request and she took us to a wall booth adjacent to the restrooms. On third try we got a table by the wall. The restaurant was at best 25% full, and none of the booths were ever occupied.
Great restaurant my husband and I ate there for our 12 wedding anniversary and went to see Motley Crue concert there that night. The food and drinks were amazing!
