I visited the Pasture at South Farms on Friday night for the first time! It was a well-rounded selection of trucks with options for drinks, bbq, Mexican, and ice cream. Plenty of seating, and the views of the farmland are really nice! It was quiet and relaxing. Would love to come back on a night when they do live music.

Great concept, great location, great food and drink options. Only wish there were better vibes. Need a sound system with some upbeat tunes playing or something. Sitting there with no music is very bland and boring. There’s no energy. Speaking of sitting, they need new tables and seating throughout. Most are old, dirty, splinter-giving, wooden picnic tables that they didn’t bother to sand down, and the rest are rusted metal tables that look like they were found on the side of the road. I get the rustic vibe they’re going for, but rustic doesn’t have to mean rusty. TLDR; Worth a visit, but would be much cooler if they had some music and better seating/seating areas.

This place is so cool! A nice way to unwind in the evening- stop and get bbq, ice cream, and a drink. I love their drink vendor- With a Splash, because they sell unique cocktails and mocktails!

I had an incredible experience this weekend at With a Splash! You can tell that the owners Bri & Alex are truly passionate about what they do and I think this has been the perfect addition to Pasture at South Farms. I love their heavy focus on mocktails and how they can curate drinks to your preferences and needs. As someone who doesn’t drink, this business is perfect for someone like me who still is interested in having a fun drink! I tried the magic lemonade and it was delicious! I will be absolutely hooked on this spot this summer!!

Great outdoor casual place to grab a bite and a cocktail or Mocktail!! With A Splash Mobile bar has an amazing variety for everyone!! Be sure to try the Prickly Pear and Rose Margaritas!! The Magic Strawberry Lemonade is a showstopper with or without the alcohol!!! Get on down to the Pasture for a quiet relaxing time!!!!

It’s a really great idea to help out food truck vendors. I am a sucker for food trucks! My son & I stopped in after last night they had for the South Farms social. Don’t think it’ll be a regular stop in the summer, although I’d love to, it’s just wicked expensive for what you get. I’m assuming it depends on what food trucks are there. If you are in the area definitely stop by.

Fabulous new truck from Hindsight BBQ. Really great BBQ-the best I’ve ever had in CT!
Parking: Come at off hours and it’s much faster & easier!
Kid-friendliness: What’s easier than having a picnic with kids?
Good idea, poor execution at the burger place. 2/3 of the truck is dedicated to drinks space so you have one person using a tiny 3 foot wide grill to try and turn out the food. If there is a crowd (and there was tonight) it’s an hour wait. No quality can overcome that

Fantastic idea and great food but located in an odd place at a busy intersection. I recommend Hindsight BBQ. The yuzu wings are an A+. They are the perfect summer chicken wing. The Sidewinder Fries are great too but the chili dipping sauce is super spicy—so beware!Speaking of super spicy: the crisp chicken sandwich will heat up your tongue, too. And it’s not a fried sandwich as the name suggests.Definitely try the yuzu wings and sidewinder fries, though! One last thing: The Hindsight does not sell drinks—so you are on your own with their spicy sauces and sandwiches! BYO beverage!

Sunny Sunday. 12 noon All closed up except the ice cream truck. Honestly, if you are trying to start a successful business you need to BE OPENED! A few rain sprinkles or showers should not impact you being opened.
