Good, basic breakfast/lunch fare and was relatively quick getting order complete. Service friendly and nice. The waitress/ spare cook was pretty cute.

I ordered eggs Benedict and it was very runny. I told the waitress and she said with an attitude that’s how they are. I told her I have had them several times and never had them like this. I ordered two eggs and sausage and twenty minutes later no breakfast. I told them cancel the order that I am not waiting any more. My sister in law paid for her order and can you believe they charged her for the eggs Benedict that I never ate. I questioned why I was charged for food that I did not eat and the girl said to me you ordered it with such an attitude! Never again will I go there again. I never have been treated like this ever. Worse customer service ever!

It was my first time going to the Coffee Shoppe, I had the veggie omelette which came with a choice of cheese and toast, home fries, and unlimited coffee. The omelette was great, and the home fries weren't bad, they were just slightly over cooked. The other person I was with had the bacon cheeseburger and they said it was perfect, cooked just right and good size. We dined-in, the staff were very friendly and took care of us with no issues. Although, the establishment is on the smaller side, so fitting a larger group might be a problem. But, overall if you're looking for a well made, relatively cheap, quick bite to eat for breakfast or lunch then the Coffee Shoppe is definitely worth trying.

Tiny but totally worth it. Food, service and prices are from a long ago time. Visiting relatives and they brought me here. Best experience for breakfast and I still talk about

The servers and cooks here are wonderful. We showed up an hour to close with a few other groups yet our food came out in a timely manner. We had a small oops with one of our dishes and they were very apologetic and got the correct food out quicker than expected! The server accommodated us with a juice that we didn't get charged for also. Prices were great here compared to other sit down diners I've been to in CT. I had a ham and cheese Benedict with an English muffin that was cooked well for the price and my fiance got a philly steak omelette which was very tasty and filling. Not often that I finish my whole plate at diners! Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast/early brunch to anyone around.

The best! The staff is awesome, they bring your coffee right over and everybody is friendly. The menu has the regular items that you want, and more. I get something different every time because the choices are so tempting even though I’m happy with my favorites. There’s nothing like a local diner with good food, fresh coffee and familiar faces.

I like to go in with a pretty easy going mindset, but it seems like everytime I go in, both dine in and take out, my order is always wrong. I get a breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon, so I pay extra and never receive bacon and sausage. I definitely empathize as it’s a hard business to work in and the employees here work extremely hard, but I must give some tough love. Working on the line I would highly recommend shouting/speaking orders out with the additions (add sausage) so that the line cook doesn’t have to read scribbles. Or get a printer. Communication between line cook and server is completely out of shape. The mutual respect between line and server is lost when the server is having to deal with angry customers face to face, and the line cook is having to remake things which will cause delay, stress, and confusion. A printer and good leadership will solve most of your issues.
