Beautiful and the food is good We were drawn to this restaurant by the gorgeous Christmas lights outside, and went the night of the first snow so it was slow-only one waitress/bartender working. The food was good, and even my toddlers enjoyed their chicken fingers and pizza. The atmosphere was gorgeous, historic, and old timey. It made you feel like you were eating in 1875 or something. We enjoyed it immensely!

Made reservations for Valentine's weekend expecting a nice dinner with another couple who were visiting from out of state. Been here once before a few years back and had a nice intimate dinner which was delicious from what I recall. This most recent visit wasn't so delightful. Have you ever been to a restaurant, and it feels like your table is the red headed stepchild of the restaurant? The glasses no longer have water (let alone ice), every table has bread (except us), and our order has been ready for a good 20 minutes. Sorry, it took us a bit longer to decide after our server disclosed that the ribeye steak, lobster mac n cheese, and crab cakes were no longer available. Of course, 3 out of the 4 of us desired one of those. After our order made it through, it didn't take TOO long for it to come out, but a stop at the table to refill our drinks would have been a nice courtesy while we waited. The food came out, and and we were mostly pleased with the presentation of all 4 plates. Taste wise, everyone seemed to be "just okay" with their entree. Then there was one dish that did not stand up to what was advertised on the menu. If you wanna feel cheated out of a meal, then order the "lazy" whatever seafood special they offer. The 2 lobster tails might as well have been prawns. DRINK UPDATE: ALL DRINKS HAVE BEEN REPLENISHED. 2 OUT OF 3 BEERS...NOT WHAT WE ORDERED. Once we finally got out of there, I look down at my watch and it was going on 9:30 pm. Our reservations were at 7:00 pm, and we were right on time. So, a 2.5 hour wait for a table of four with only 4 or 5 other tables in a larger restaurant seems a bit off. What the problem is, I don't know, but it needs to change if they want to stay open.
