Drove out of my way to get a dozen bagels to bring to my new job Just to be told that she couldn't give me a dozen bagels. Even though all of the baskets were full of them. She knows better than me. They probably needed them because they're busy, but I still wasted time and felt bad.

I really enjoy their bagels, however they only allow 2 bagels per person š

Bagel sandwiches were great and love the creativity behind the names but the wait time wasn't what we expected. The place was packed with people waiting to either place an order or to pick up their order. We waited 10 minutes to order and another 30 minutes for our order, which was only 2 bagel sandwiches. I think the large menu contributes to the wait time.

DeRoccos used to be my favorite breakfast sandwich go to spot whenever I was in the area, but not any longer. Iām not sure if the owner/cook has anger issues, or just believes that its okay to be rude to customers, but that was my experience today. I ordered the paizan sandwich with the sausage on the side, which I have done in the past, and after paying for my order, the owner proceeds to come over to me, aggressively ask why I would think it was okay to change a menu item, and then when I try to explain that I didnāt know menu items couldn't be changed, he proceeds to question why I want the sausage on the side in the first place. I then let him know that I donāt eat meat, but I give the sausage to my dogs as a treat, and I get this response, āIām not going to make this sandwich any differently just because you like to give the sausage to your dogsā.
At this point, Iām just stressed and uncomfortable that this weird situation is even occurring, and heās still staring at me, shaking his head, that I then offer to just get another sandwich, and by the time I get home, I now realize Iām short the difference because my original sandwich choice cost more than what I somehow got bullied into ordering. The whole experience was like the twilight zone, and I truly hope that this was a one off and he was just having a bad day, but that is still not an excuse for him to act like that to someone he doesn't even know and who was nothing but respectful the entire exchange. I will never recommend them again, and Iāll just go to Amiās for bagels from now on.

As a sandwich/bagel lover this place is the spot to be. Every time I come to Connecticut I stop by to get breakfast. Friendly staff and large variety of menu options. Also they have a crazy selection of cream cheeses.

While visiting family, we found an amazing breakfast spot that blew us away. Back in Brooklyn, weāre used to Defonteās Sandwich Shop, and not many places can match their incredible flavors. But this place? It came pretty close! My sister-in-law highly recommended it, and she was rightāevery bite was fantastic.
We tried the spicy sandwich, filled with cheese, eggs, and just the right amount of bacon. The flavors were spot-onāthe perfect blend of spice, soft cheese, and crispy bacon made every bite unforgettable. If you're in the area, we highly recommend stopping by for breakfast. You wonāt be disappointed.

As a former New Yorker, I was really missing my bagels. Despite numerous people bringing me bagels they thought would fit the bill, they honestly just fell short. When you know... you know. I accidentally stumbled upon DeRoccos and I have to say these bagels are pretty close to what I am used to and missing. We ordered the day before to get the full dozen and picked up the next day. They were fresh and soft! They tasted great both as is and toasted. We also ordered some breakfast sandwiches when we got there... and this place was packed! The breakfast sandwiches on the bagels were fantastic and the portions generous. We will definitely be back!

Love this place! Only downside is itās always so packed with customers so finding parking & seats are literally a first come-first serve. I come from Middlebury as early as possible. Drop off my daughter to go get order then pick her back up when sheās ready. Works for us ?
Parking: Very limited parking. The deli is in a neighborhood on a fairly busy/narrow road with parking jammed on both sides. We usually just drop off someone to go pick up order while we wait outside or down the street. We make it work. Itās worth it!!
Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely donāt see a wheelchair maneuvering in this deli easily. Not saying a wheelchair canāt fit but it would be tight.

NY family loves the big papa however they are frequently out of the gluten free bagels. Turn phones off so you can not call ahead to make sure they have them. They also will not sell gluten free bagels without a topping so if you have a lot of allergies and need to take home, it's not the place for you. Service can be rude and for the price you pay they can be nicer. The waits are extremely long .
