I don't understand what's the hype. Food is terrible. Stayed one night in the hospital for food poisoning. The owner of The Criollosimo has a sandwich restaurant across the street and the Dept of Health/Sanitazion always in that restaurant. With that said, last but not least do not waste your money!

I personally think this place is slightly overrated. Its always packed so that's a good sign, but I believe this is the case because of marketing and it being on TV. When I arrived I waited about 15 minutes in line, I was disappointed that you're not able to order a specific dish or food? But, only allowed to choose from what's already made.. the selection wasn't the best. I ordered white rice with beef stew and tostones. The tostones came out fresh so I got excited, just to find out they were extremely undercooked, no crisp at all to it. The owner even saw that the quality of the tostones were not up to her standards. She yelled back at the cook to do better in Spanish and even joked to him that she was going to kill him, everybody in line started chuckling, but she still served them and charged for them. That's just poor quality control. This place really is more focused on QUANTITY than QUALITY. The goal is to serve as many people in a hour, rather than serve high quality food and double check standards. Won't be returning.

Disappointed. I visited during lunch and found the restaurant's layout to be awkward. I was quoted a price for an item but was charged a different amount. Additionally, staff allowed known patrons to cut in line. Parking was inconvenient. The food was subpar; we’ve had better meals at CTOWN, which also offers better prices. I spent $70 for two and found the meal to be mediocre. I will not return.

We got our wedding catered with them and OMG still hearing people rave about the food! Everything was DELICIOUS, so fresh, and authentic! I wish I had a photo or video but I’m sure I’ll get one soon so I can update my review. Thank you so much to this team for making it all work! They delivered it all perfectly and there was so much! We’ll be back for more! 🔥
The octopus salad was flavorful but extremely fatty and gooey. Felt like eating a piece of fat over and over gain. The Pernil empanadas tasted like chicken and not much flavor.

It's always a pleasure when you walk into a restaurant and the first person that greets you is the owner. I had some delicious carne frita and amarillos. Plus a potato ball.uffs delicious. Definitely highly recommend it 👌
