Food doesn't look fresh. Food is really dry and cold food sits there all day

Spanish food - excellent rice and beans. I wanted something vegetarian and was able to get it. Clean tables.

The people that eat at Maria's must come from arch street where she seems to sell her food out of her home where she started. Food is terrible. Doesn't seem to be fresh. Go at your own risk.

Food always looks so good and the staff is amazing & respectful! On top of the food they always host events in support of small businesses and offer things for various holidays. I would highly recommend Maria's Soul Latin for a filling meal and good vibe!

Okay so I visited Maria's Soul And Latin today. I was so turned off by the disgusting looking food I turned a Nd walked out. Food doesn't look fresh. Meats looked dry sides not fresh.O overall the place needs to close down. Just my opinion. I would be embarrassed for people to see the disgusting food that is served. It seems the people leaving the great reviews have NEVER had really GREAT food.

Food is disgusting, eat at your own risk. Meats are very tough and under cooked. Sides look old and reheated MN Mac and Cheese not worth the hype. Bananas pudding nothing but old boxed pudding. N o bananas or cookies. Business telephone disconnected. It's a very bad experience all around. People deserve better. I would be embarrassed to call it a restaurant. It's more like a ghetto party going on in my opinion. Nothing professional about the restaurant. Check the live videos out and see for yourself. Please don't miss the disgusting small pancakes

Hello reviewers....so I did plan a Baby Shower at Maria's Soul Latin restaurant....very nice space....clean and my family had a great time! I had a few food items prepared by Maria and her staff...a party size lasagna and a nice party salad with the croutons etc...it was perfect...thanks for all your help!

This is my Go-to restaurant when I want a taste of southern comfort with a Latin twist. I usually get the honey baked chicken for my family with mixed vegetables, greens, Mac, potato salad and yams. Everything is always delicious. The strawberry cake is fantastic. It reminds me of my old neighbor from Mississippi. She was a baker and made moist, yummy cakes.

Maria’s is a spot I’ve been meaning to check out and I’m glad I finally did! There’s tons of meats and sides to choose from. I ended up getting the baked chicken, Mac & Cheese, mixed vegetables, and yams. Everything came up to about 15 dollars for lunch. They offer a place to dine inside, separate from the food area. Everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The yams were the star of the show, hints of brown sugar with every bite. The chicken was a little dry but it was cooked on a grill so I wasn’t even mad. Overall, it was a solid experience and I plan on checking them out again.

It's nice to have a Latin/Soul food restaurant right in the area. We have been ordering from Maria's for the last year. I could eat the yams alone, everyday. The Mac and Cheese is always really good and the first thing on my plate to go! The food is filling so get ready for a nap! Definitely stop in to see Maria for all of your Latin and Soul food desires!!!

So I was looking for a dope soul food restaurant to try… and I have been to all the ones in Hartford and meridian and they are okay… found this place and was I pleased, HELL YEA I brought so many goodies and I mean everything was so good I had to pull back over and go back inside to tell her that it was bussing. And also gave her a handclap. Cause honey she deserved that, very professional, clean inside her restaurant. Everyone so friendly and nice and I’m not use to that… you literally get the best of all worlds going in their. I said to my wife she must have a black husband lol nah for real tho y’all can cook. Portions are amazing, prices are reasonable and affordable. I feel the price for my food was cheap and should have been more, compared to all the things I purchased with four drinks 4 sides, two meals with two desserts. Most importantly your getting quality food. That takes time and preparation and lots of love. Coming from a food Critic hands down amazing.. and girl that banana pudding omg I wanted to drive back from Hartford and shake ya hand ?? thank you so much for an amazing experience and i promise my greedy butt will be seeing you soon! If you guys haven’t given this spot a try, what you waiting for? Y’all missing out!! PERIODT

Food horrible. Dinosaur chicken and ribs. Bland mushy rice tasted left over. Potato salad is mayo with salt and pepper smh. Mac n cheese was the only good thing I tasted. Unsatisfactory. OVERRATED!
