Food and service are good. This is specific to the potato pancakes for 13.50You get 8 tiny half dollar skinny size. For 13.50 it should be at least 2 - 3 large pancakes. Only mentioning to see if owner can make a change on this.

To me, there isn't a reason to have a diner if it's not open 24/7. But, I get it. Covid killed the late night diner scene in CT. Stopped in here for the first time to have breakfast. Was instantly greeted. I opted to sit at the counter since it was just me. Probably the most comfortable diner counter I've ever sat at. The menu was pretty extensive, typical diner food and the waitress told me they serve everything all day. I wanted eggs but also wanted pancakes. I got the chef's special which included two of each of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs and obviously got coffee. The coffee was probably the best part of the meal. It wasn't anything gourmet, but it was piping hot and didn't turn to ice the second I added cream. The food itself was good. Ordered scrambled eggs and they were slightly under cooked for being scrambled. The pancakes however were delicious. They were practically the size of a frisbee but we're nice and light so my stomach didn't feel like I swallowed an anvil after I ate them. Bacon was good and crispy, sausage was kind of bland but ok. Service was great. Overall it was an ok experience. Not having had dinner the night before I definitely needed a good meal. I would go back to try more someday.

What a great place to have breakfast. I only come here for breakfast but let me tell you the portions are big. I always leave there stuffed! It's a good thing! Friendly and very lively food is awesome ? Even my granddaughter had a great time.

One of the best diners I've ever Eaten at!! The atmosphere was inviting and friendly... Everyone was smiling..And I was absolutely at the short period of time between ordering and receiving my food! I was very pleased..Not to mention I was definitely pleased when I received the check! Two people eating is normally around $45-$50 here it was $41 and we ordered a lot!!If you're ever in New Britain and need a place to eat please check the diner out you will not be disappointed!

This place is literally around the corner from me. My kids go there all the time. Our fo to place used to be "Berlin Diner" they were family for us. Now, back to this place, the breakfast was great and big plates. Coffee, for me personally, was not the best that I've had. You have to try the Irish Benedict (it's eggs Benedict over corn beef hash on an English Muffin) or any Omeltte oh, and my grandson's favorite chocolate chip pancakes. They come with any kind of toast and home fries. I'm getting hungry just writing about this ?The place is definitely busy, but the staff is good and the food comes out quickly. I'm planning on going there again. Parking can get really tight on the weekends, but they have plenty of parking.Parking: Huge lot, but it does get packed on weekends during brunch timeKid-friendliness: They are great with Kids and their needs.

These guys have good food. I'm partial to their breakfasts they do here, but there are other good options as well. The staff is nice. They work hard. I went to the New Britain Diner with a small group of friends. We all enjoyed our meals and had a great time in the process. There were no problems at all. Like many places, just off the highway, some of the clientele can be a little sketchy here, especially during the later, night time hours. If you do come here later in the evening, just be smart and pay attention to your surroundings. It should be fine...I'd recommend giving this place a try.I know a lot of people that eat here that are locals...

Bland food with terrible service. "cinnamon" french toast had no cinnamon flavor at all, was soggy and cold. Muffin was stale. Waitress didn't check in on us at all, until she cleared the (still full) plates at the end and dropped off our check. Didn't seem surprised that we didn't eat the food and didn't ask if we wanted anything wrapped to go... must be a common occurrence.
