Tried for the first time today ! I had the loco taco hot dog and it was delicious !

Can't go wrong with a Riley's dog. Bunch of unique combos. All the hot dogs I've tried in the past have been great. Location leaves a lot to be desired, but it is what it is. Definitely enjoy visiting when I can.

Recommended dishes: The Dirty Mac Dog

Decided to make the rounds and try all of the local hot dog places. This was my favorite, but also the most expensive. Worth the money and the cleanest of the three. Parking was VERY confusing and ended up paying before I noticed the few dedicated spots right next to it. Everything I tried was delicious.

Parking: A few small spots next to the door otherwise need to pay to park in the city lot

Cool neighborhood corner pub vibe. Great hot dogs and burgers with every imaginable combination of toppings available. I had coleslaw and salty balls on the side too and they were excellent. Look forward to going back often!

Best spot here in New Britain,CT. Great food, love the Burger -Hubby absolutely enjoyed the Hot Dogs, we both also love the Cajun fries! The services Great, nice people. Great atmosphere, definitely Good Vibes! We have been there twice in the past 2 months Absolutely returning!

I went here for a late lunch and had the Magic Mushroom Swiss burger. I also had an order of French fries. The fries were good and there were a lot of them. My burger was nice and hot & cooked to perfection. It was very good.
I will definitely be coming here in the future to try some other specialty burgers and mayhaps I will even try a hot dog or two next time.
The staff was friendly, and the facilities were nice and clean. The over-all look and feel of the place are pleasant.
I was going to include a picture of my burger, but ended up devouring it a little too quickly... Maybe next time
One thing worth mentioning is there are parking meters in the parking lot... I'm not sure what the deal is with that. We were here on a Saturday, so it didn't really affect us during this visit.

I finally visited the famous Rileys. Except first, I had to find a place to park. They have very few spots on the side of their building, or otherwise metered city parking. Not cool New Britain. The service at the counter was friendly and efficient. I was disappointed the dog itself was very bland. The toppings were good, but they could make a sandwich all on their own. The dog was unimpressive. Also tried the salt potatoes. They were good-just as you'd expect, and nice to see on the menu. I'm glad I went but I wouldn't go back.

Rileys is truly gourmet, interesting and delicious hotdogs. Unique combinations and flavourful ingredients are what sets Riley’s apart. I brought two friends and we ordered several different versions and they were kind enough to cut them into thirds so we could each try and compare. The Thai, Mac and cheese, jalepeno popper, BLT and taco dogs are all fantastic. Their hand-cut fries are the best around and their salty balls (new potatoes brined in a salt and seasonings then fried) are definitely worth trying.Comfortable atmosphere inside and a nice little courtyard in warmer weather are a plus. Good craft beer selection and regular seasonal specials add to the appeal. I don’t live close to New Britain but I will go out of my way for a Riley’s dog. I recently brought two friends for the first time and they both said some of the best dogs they’ve ever had. Try for yourself.
