Every time I am in the New Britain area I always try to make time to get a bite at West Side Tavern. It's hard to find real authentic Brazilian cuisine but their head chef and owner Isaac is the real deal. I met him once, he was born in Brazil, and you can tell by the way he puts his dishes together he takes pride in his culture. I never had a dish I didn't LOVE. The best restaurant in New Britain. Creative Brazilian cuisine, and they try hard and hit home runs with unique drinks here as well (though maybe don't expect the best classic Manhattan) Went for New Years with surprise menu. Such a friendly, stylish atmosphere. It's easy to see the movers and shakers of Central Connecticut here, who come for the quality and convenience of location. Food was great. Our server was super nice. And the drinks were perfect. Great local place. Glad I finally had a chance to check it out. My friend was bummed the lamb wasn't available. But other than that it's was great. Stop in. Great food!!!
