I am sad :( been getting Chinese food here for my whole life, almost always get it on my birthday. and now it's suddenly different, why is everything spicy? please go back to your old recipes... everything was acceptable and cooked well but it's not the main moon it always was. even the fried dumplings and egg rolls are spicy! why the sesame chicken?? if you want spicy order general tso..I'm scared to get the chicken lo mein and find that's changed too, please please please go back to how it used it be

Usually food is decent, tonight food went into garbage, called and told them, got a Sorry to hear, then dead silence. They just lost a long time customer, no, I’ll replace it or give credit., local business should have more courtesy and intelligence to make good. Small town words travel fast. wow, I'm seriously impressed! First of all, all of the staff were very friendly, and became friends quickly. When i was picking it up, they were super fast with the food and was still incredibly hot! I highly recommend the crab Rangoon, because they're really crispy on the outside and hot, sweet and savory in the inside!! you should go visit main moon at New Fairview!

Do not go here. The guy/kid who took my order through the phone when ordering, did not ask for a name or number he just said 20 minutes then hung up. Furthermore, being that I have been sick for the past week i had to have a family member pick up the order for me. When my family member got there she remembered all but one item in the order and the same guy refused to give my family member the order because she couldn’t remember the one item. Alot of back and forth and time wasted for no reason…

I don't order Chinese often so I can't compare it to other locations.... But why do I always get two! Three max! Pieces of broccoli in my chicken and broccoli combination and also my general tso's chicken combination???? Why are you holding out on the broccoli....
Use to be very delicious, now the fried rice & pork lo mien very dried no flavor at all.Wonton in the soup has no flavor.Be awhile before we go back.

I recently moved to New Fairfield from Flushing, NY - home to the world's best Asian Food: Chinese/Korean/Indian/Thai etc restaurants. So I set rather a low bar for Main Moon, which it entirely failed to meet. As we were evaluating a new restaurant, we ordered our usual set of fairly easy to prepare test dishes: scallion pancake, shrimp with lobster sauce, green beans with garlic sauce, hot and sour soup, fried wings. Scallion Pancake: not crisp, but soggy dripping with grease. If there were any scallion bits hiding in that raw dough glutinous mess, I couldn’t find them. Threw it out. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce is supposed to be made with ground pork, garlic, salt, etc. The sauce was an absolutely tasteless, clear, gelatinous mess: more like shrimp in aspic. At least the shrimp were not overcooked. Green Beans: Limp beans with clumps of congealed brown sugar sauce - went straight into the garbage. Hot and Sour Soup: It had the mix ins - I actually found wood ears. Again way too much corn starch, but being wicked starved, my wife and I were able to finish it. Fried Wings: If you have a deep fat fryer, impossible to F/U, even if you don’t season them. Kept us from ordering a pizza.

General Tso meal was OK, chicken cooked too much, was very tough. Decent size portions, quick service, a bit pricey though. Hard to find a good Chinese food place saldy.

We were very disappointed with our delivery order. We placed through GrubHub and it arrived very quickly, but most of the food was incorrect(not the wrong bag of food just wrong sides etc). We spoke to the restaurant who stated that GrubHub drivers pack the food themselves and that they’re responsible for the food in the bag. Not sure about you all, but GrubHub doesn’t/isn’t supposed to be packaging food the restaurant is supposed to seal the packaged food up into a bag before the driver picks it up.
