Outstanding food and friendly and attentive staff. I had the homemade ravioli, and wow, absolutely fabulous! The drinks and chocolate mousse were also amazing. What a wonderful dining experience, happy to have found a new place to go!

What a gem of a restaurant! We were visiting from Europe and had the best lasagna we've ever had and the waitstaff were incredibly sweet to us. Will definitely come back If (when) we come back to New Milford🥰

Unexpected great experience! Walked in a bit unsure but left with a new go to place. It’s old fashioned Italian . The standards done exceptionally well. Best veal piccata I have had in a restaurant. Other diners ordered lasagna and the linguine with clams were equally impressed. Will definitely be going back

Two for dinner Saturday 12th October. Great find. We traveled a short distance from Ridgefield. Wife had the pumpkin martini special. "best martini she's ever had' We shared the linguini n clams, pasta bolognese. Both excellent. Atmosphere reminded me of a European hotel restaurant with the high ceilings, white table clothes. Comfortable and attentive service. We will be back with friends.

Food quality / price (value) rating 8.5. This was my first time here, and I sat outside under the large awning covered area, so I can't really comment on the atmosphere inside, but the atmosphere outside was very pleasant, across from the large New Milford green. They have a well rounded Italian menu which includes all the standard entrees, and a well balanced list of specials. The service was good. I had the blackened Swordfish special which was very fresh, and prepared and presented very nicely with a mix of julienne vegetables. The entree included a very nice dinner salad made with high quality greens, a nice mix of color from cabbage and carrots, and a tasty blue cheese dressing. The meal included two freshly baked rolls along with a high quality oil. I also had a tiramisu for dessert that was presented beautifully, and a Keoke coffee that was MADE PROPERLY with brandy, Kahlua, and dark cream de Coco, which most restaurants no longer make correctly. They have a limited but well balanced offering of draught beers, and a full bar. The owners, Rafael and Mikella, were on site and actively involved in customer service. The place is a little tricky to find, largely in part because the town limits signage because of the historical nature of the building, but it's worth the search. I'll definitely come again!

We visited Al Dente this past Saturday & it was a wonderful time. This was a bigger party with 2 children & everyone enjoyed the food & atmosphere very much. We had a lovely waitress who was very attentive, the busboys were on point & the food was delicious. Highly recommend for any occasion. The whole family drives from neighboring states to New Milford to eat here because it's that good. We've been here before & we will be back!

Food was delicious. Patio nice but a little packed. Out server was excellent but took food a long time to come out and there was not enough staff to handle amount of customers. Food was fresh and great specials.
This restaurant has really gone waaaay downhill; the food was very very sparse and not well prepared; the staff was mainly high school kids, one wearing ear buds so you couldn't get his attention. Only a few people in the place on a Friday evening should have been a clue to walk away.............walk away!!!.....

They deserve 5+ stars! Hands down the best Italian restaurant in New Milford and the surrounding areas. Truly divine traditional Italian food made the right way! They make the absolute best chicken francese in CT. I’m originally from NY and have tried chicken francese all over CT trying to find a restaurant who makes it the way I’m used to. Al Dente is it!!! Everything from the bread, salad, entrees, and dessert are absolutely phenomenal. Their Italian or balsamic house dressings with the complimentary salad and the bread with oil… delicious! Cannoli, tiramisu, and lemon cake are to die for. Cappuccino was amazing too. The service is wonderful. No complaints here! They are absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend. I won’t go anywhere else for real Italian!!!
