Absolutely wonderful! Hands down the best Italian restaurant in the area. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too loud even though it was nearly a full house. Our waitress Michaela was personable and kind. She made us feel like we were the only customers there. The food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, wine fresh and delightful. The lemon cake was outstanding! This is a family operated place that offers and authentic and personal touch. A gem on the green. Will definitely return again and again.

Terrific, we'll prepared Italian food. Adequate service. But we won't be back. The dining room is grey and grim. Lighting is cold. Not even a little candle on the table. Too bad.

Tried Al Dente for the first time last night. Was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The service was fantastic. We ordered linguini with red clam sauce and Canneloni Al pollo. We were both very happy with our dinners, which came with rolls and salad. Will definitely return to try more items.

Good food. Good service. A nice family owned, family run restaurant. Tables each have table clothes and cloth napkins. Dim lighting. Nice ambiance. My husband and I enjoyed our chicken marsala and pollo cardinale, fried calamari, mesculin salads and hot bread. All was very pleasant except for the idiot loudmouth at the table next to us drinking with his brood of kids and wife who didnt believe in loud speaking etiquette. But thats not the restaurants fault. This idiot was very loud and annoying to all the patrons dining at the same time as us.All in all, a definite recommendation for dining in New Milford. You will enjoy the food and the service.

My best friend and I had a wonderful lunch today at Al Dente. The food was wonderful! I had the stuffed artichoke, a special on the menu. It was enormous and delicious! More than enough for lunch! My friend had the chicken franchaise. It was also delicious!Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I would encourage folks who enjoy Italian food to give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

What a delicious meal! It was my first time in the downtown New Milford area and we chose to eat here.I'm so glad we did. They start you off with these delicious homemade rolls, to die for! There were three of us, and we ordered cavatelli with broccoli Rabe, linguini with clam sauce, and the chicken cardinale. All three entrées came with a house salad which was quite delicious with various types of greens and a very tangy house dressing. A wonderful start. The entrées arrived and they were fabulous. The linguine with clam sauce was garlicky and delicious with fresh clams. The cavatelli with broccoli rabe was excellent, and I absolutely loved my chicken Cardinale with prosciutto and roasted red peppers.Our server was wonderful, very attentive and nice. What a wonderful experience!

Welcoming & clean the food was delicious and fairly priced we enjoyed the penne puntanesca however I would recommend getting that dish with some kind of spaghetti instead of penne
