This restaurant sold gift cards over the holidays knowing they were going to close their doors! I highly doubt they plan to ever reopen.

Arrived and the bar is a nice little spot to sit at for drinks. We took some time on the menu as there wasn’t much to pick from. They had a very eclectic menu. I wish they had a few options that are for the average person. The grilled tiger shrimp app was very good. The drinks were great and had a very nice appearance. The main meal we had was the seared scallops in a kimchi broth and really took away from the seared scallops and missing that flavor. It was more of a soup with scallops in it. Very disappointed. Hopefully they add a few things to the menu to make it worth the $400 we spent there. Word of advice. In the winter time try and grab a table in the back due to the cold blast from people entering and leaving.

The appearance of this restaurant from the road belies just how great it is. Do yourself a favor and dress appropriately- no baseball caps or torn jeans should be sported here. It's a mark of respect for the effort management has expended on making this enterprise the best in New Milford. Everything is spot on: ambiance, food and service.

Leaf peeping in litchfield county decided on this spot. No tables so we sat at the high tops. Decided on the Stint which was explained to me to have lobster and corn potatoes and onions and homemade croutons in a cream kind of like a chowder. Well for $38
, I had one and a half pieces of lobster only . My dining partner had the pot pie, which was delicious the corn, fritters for appetizer which were delicious but my meal stunk, it wasn’t a cream. It was liquid cream not thick it all don’t get it. I left it there and got a meal somewhere else as they squeezed up in for the table and we were told we couldn’t order apps. Ugh disappointed

As someone who has had the pleasure of dining at some of the world’s most acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurants, I can say that Good Eats Restaurant in Litchfield offers an experience that stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of the one star locations. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of genuine warmth and hospitality.

The customer service at Good Eats is truly outstanding. The team strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and approachability, making you feel both pampered and comfortably at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, anticipating my needs with a level of care that is rare even among the finest establishments.

Now, the food—simply exquisite. Each dish showcased a remarkable blend of culinary artistry and heartfelt passion. The menu celebrates both local ingredients and innovative techniques, resulting in flavors that are both familiar and refreshingly novel. The presentation of each course was impeccable, rivaling the elegance I’ve come to expect from Michelin-starred venues.

Particularly memorable were the mussels, chicken liver patte, and chicken sandwich, which highlighted the chef’s skill in harmonizing complex flavors with finesse. The balance of textures and the depth of taste spoke volumes about the culinary team’s dedication to excellence.

In summary, Good Eats Restaurant is a hidden gem that delivers an unparalleled dining experience. Whether you’re a seasoned epicurean or simply someone who appreciates great food served with genuine kindness, this is a destination that should not be missed. I wholeheartedly recommend Good Eats to anyone seeking a meal that is as delightful as it is unforgettable.

We were on our way to dinner in Kent when we decided to be spontaneous and give Good Eats a try. Why we never came here sooner I can’t say but we will be coming back from now on. This is refined comfort food in a faemhouse-like setting with a bit of a Korean influence to some dishes. Nearly everything is made from scratch and the cocktails, while expensive, are creative and well-done. We tried the corn and kimchee fritters, the skink (a lobster and haddock stew) and a sweet potato noodle dish with spinach and peanuts. Everything was delicious but portions are not large for the $26-$38 entree cost, which was our only reservation. We sampled a blondie dessert with sesame gelato that was sweet and salty and scrumptious. The server was young but attentive and friendly and the owner had a wonderful energy on saying goodnight. This may be too expensive for weekly meals (at least for us) but we had zero regrets in stopping and will return. A really pleasure and a true find for New Milford.
