I've been to Grassroots in Simsbury, so I was excited to see one here. My family and I were exploring the town on a balmy day. The perfect day for some Grassroots ice cream. There was a line when we got there but it moved quickly. There a few small tables, all taken. By the time we ordered and got our our ice cream, the place cleared out and we were able to snag a table.

So many cool and interesting flavors made in house. Pints to go. Cones and cups, sodas, water and convenient downtown location. If you're looking for out of the box flavors, definitely go there. I got the blood orange chocolate chip and black raspberry chocolate chip with hot fudge. My husband got the peanut butter Ritz. Both delicious! Easy access. There is a bathroom and seating inside and outside benches

With the summer heat and the raving reviews, I couldn’t wait to try Grassroots Ice Cream. Needless to say, after trying their “Goat Cheese Blackberry” ice cream, I know I will soon become a regular to try all of their many flavors.

I got a scoop and a half in a cup, which cost me $6.98 with tax. Unfortunately on Bank Street, cost comes with the territory and the ice cream was most certainly worth it.
