The sushi is very fresh and delicious here every time. The lunch menu is the best value in town. I love the Bento boxes in particular and the special rolls.

Amazing sushi place in New Milford CT. The service first of all is much much better than I expected. It was quiet on. Saturday night but they were always very attentive refilling our water much more often than needed and always being there. They were chinese and very polite people and had a great conversation with one of them. We were greeted inmediately and was seated immediately and picked dishes that looked great. We were very grateful they had cooked fish sushi because my friend doesnt like raw fish. The appetiser, takoyaki was super hot which was nice and tasted very fresh crispy and creamy delicious. The rest of the sushi came in one giant platter which was unexpected but very nice and looked much better. All of the sushi looked delicious and tasted delicious and my favourite was the spicy girl. It was the perfect texture not too soft and all the flavours balanced together very seamlessly and was such a joy to put in my mouth. The out of control was also nice but I really do NOT like the cream cheese which is too bold and dominating and takes away from the other flavours like the crab and salmon. Just a personal preference. Lastly the atmosphere felt empty and soulless because there werent many people but I definitely think it would be great when its full. In the beginning it was also uncomfortable because the temperature was quite hot for us but we got used to it. The seating was comfortable as well. Just the room could use brighter colours and a little more light. Just exceptional service (for low key restaurant) and great food at good price highly recommend.

Great variety of sushi. Freshly prepared, open to customization. Never had a bad dish. Service staff is friendly and atmosphere has a nice mood lighting. It's one of the best sushi places in New Milford.

I love their food, however their take out isn't always thorough, they seem to forget the sauces we pay for, almost every single time. (Eel sauce, mostly)we will still order our sushi from here but I do hope they start giving us our sauce lol

A lot of my coworkers have been recommending Kumo and in all honesty I wasn’t impressed. While the atmosphere was nice and the service was effecient, their food didn’t do anything for me. The two items I ordered, the Dumpling Soup and the Snow Roll were bland. The shrimp on the Snow Roll was warmer than I was comfortable with and the crab meat tasted “off.” However, I did enjoy sharing the Shrimp Sushmai and the Spring Rolls with my friend, and the plates were beautifully presented.

Perhaps I need to explore more of Kumo’s menu, but in all honesty, I think there’s better sushi restaurants in the area.

I recently visited Kumo, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The all-you-can-eat menu is a food lover's dream. Each dish I tried was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The sushi was fresh, the tempura crispy, and the variety of options kept my taste buds excited throughout the meal.

The staff at Kumo truly enhance the dining experience. They are friendly, attentive, and always ready to serve with a smile. No matter how many times I asked for the all-you-can-eat menu, they were happy to oblige without hesitation, making sure I had everything I needed.

The atmosphere at Kumo is equally impressive. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming vibe that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Whether you're going for a casual meal or a special occasion, Kumo is the perfect spot to enjoy great food in a pleasant setting.

Overall, Kumo offers an outstanding dining experience. If you're looking for a place with fantastic Japanese cuisine, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere, Kumo should be at the top of your list.

Service ok, fast! The drinks were a little flat... the food is good, it's a shame that the menu doesn't describe what comes in each dish and you have to order blindly.

My friends and I had a great experience at this place, the food was delicious, and the people were super friendly. Also, the prices are reasonable compared to other sushi restaurants. However, it gets very packed during rush hours, but it's worth trying out.

We waited 50 MINUTES for our sushi to come out. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE.

My husband, daughter and I came in for AYCE sushi at 7:03pm today (as pictured on receipt). Half of the restaurant was empty so we were seated immediately, served our drinks, and marked down what we wanted on the menu — both appetizers and sushi. Our appetizers came fairly quickly and we were doing well at that point. My little one was eating her chicken nuggets and noodles, and my husband and I shared an order of fried cheese wontons and calamari. About 15-20 min later, the servers took the empty appetizer plates quickly, and that’s when things went downhill. Ten minutes goes by, 20 minutes goes by, nothing. 30 minutes into our wait for the sushi, a table of 5 that walked in AFTER us that were picking on their appetizers were served their sushi well before us. 45 minutes into waiting, we are only served half of our sushi order (the 2 rolls my husband ordered), and that’s when I ask the waitress about the other 2 rolls (my food) that we were still waiting on. She claims that the plate with 2 rolls she has just given us is all we ordered. For a family of 3, seriously? So I politely tell her that is not true, and I ask her to bring over a menu so I can point out the other 2 that we are still missing. She ends up bringing me the menu we actually filled out when we first came in, and then changes her answer and says that there are only 2 chefs working on the sushi and it will only be a few more minutes. I point out that a table of 5 who came in after us was served way before us, and she just repeated her answer that there are only 2 chefs and it will be done soon. At this point, I’m pissed. Finally, 5 minutes later (a total of 50 minutes we waited for all 4 sushi rolls to come out), the other 2 rolls arrive. Shortly after, a few tables clear out and we hesitantly attempt to ask for another menu to order 1 more roll. They give us a menu, but then another 20 minutes go by and nobody has even taken the menu for the 1 last sushi roll we wanted. My 5 year old is tired and begging to go home after dinner dragging on so long, so we decide to forget about ordering anything else and we ask for the check. Of course, they come out immediately with that. The waitress hands me the check and said she has given us a discount for the trouble. You wanna know what the “discount” was? $3.69 off of the bill. What a slap in the face. The bill, after a whopping $3.69 “discount” came to $75.59. We paid and left. We feel very insulted and will never step foot at this establishment again. I recommend you steer clear of this place.
